Here is a clue for ya; if you think Republicans have dibs on corruption, greed and self-serving motives, you are naive, and I don't mean that to be an insult, I'm just stating fact. TPTB create this illusion of "left" and "right" but in the grand scheme of things, they all want to go in the same direction.

For instance, Al Gore. His initiative is nothing more than a power-grabbing con. The man went from being an average "Joe", income-wise, to being worth millions of dollars. The people on the left think they are some kind of environmental authority, but the fact is they aren't. The difference is simple; the left is constantly blowing the "Green" horn while the right is quietly going about their business. In other words, the Left wears the T-shirt, the Right prefers to dress nice.

You might as well of just signed your own ATS death warrant on this thread.

Slamming Al Gore to the left is like saying Jesus was just a man to the right...

Look out for the flying keyboards.

Hey Op, I think the greedy bastards are people like Al Gore trying to push and make millions off the Global Warming hoax.
Why don't you slam him?
Don't blame the Repubs for bursting your bubble.

No, that is what brought about the idea to leave England and start a new Colony, and that brought about the formation of the US, as per the Constitution.
The idea that everyone has to contribute, we all have to let the Govt run our lives and tell us what to do spawned Nazism. Instead of a knee jerk reaction, maybe go back and read some history.

I would love to, but the the Federal Govt owns most of the state land and doesn't allow it, the EPA won't let me build or harvest the natural resources, the Sierra Club will stop me from even getting there and the animal rights activists won't let me kill the animals.

In a way, you are correct; Hitler's party was angry that one demographic was paying to help another. But to say that this frustration with communal taxing will always translate into genocide is a bit unfair.

Again, simple solution: decentralize. Let Macman live in the ultra-capitalist state and you can live in your ultra-socialist state. I know where I'd want to live but I would be honestly curious as to which would prosper more. I think both methods are potentially genius... it's when we have the hybrid we have in the US right now that we run into trouble.

Republicans cheer on Executions.
Republicans cheer on letting those without insurance die in the street.
Republicans boo a marine in Iraq simply because he's gay.
Republicans were voted into Congress to work on the economy and decided to inflict their religious ideologies upon the American public.
Republicans praised, loved, respected, trusted the federal government when it introduced the Patriot Act and lead the country into a Middle East occupation, killing over 100,000 people since 2001. The same Republicans turned against the government when a Democrat entered office and provided the same ideas and treatment the previous Administration. I wonder why. Oh could it be because of Fox News propaganda and...PERHAPS...maybe his skin color? Nah. What am I saying? I'm just a Libertarian who actually thinks most Republicans are bitter about a Black man entering office. I mean, hell, only the liberals could be racist right? They voted for Obama based on his skin color, but there is NO way Republicans can be racist. Right?

...Right?

It is too true, but one on the GOP ticket is different.

Ron Paul,

Ron does not seek to take your entitlements, or privatize them. He has only said that the Federal Government has no business providing these services and that it should be left to the states. If Arkansas has SS surplus then they may decrease the amount you pay in, if Florida had shirtages they may increase the amount Floridians pay in. If the people of RI wanted to not provide SS at all that would be their right It would be this way for most things, and if you didn’t like State A maybe state B would have exactly what you want and you would be free to move etc…

The Federal Government would get back to what they were meant to do. Protecting our constitutional rights, and providing security for these united states.

Freedom as it was meant to be?

Oh, here we go again.
Another shared brain johnny come lately.

No, Reps do not cheer those things. I don't see parades in the streets for those things.

Please do your homework and state correctly.

And we are already at the dangerous and unstable, with what 60 years of our structure going down the path of Socialism.
It seems to have gotten even worse over the past several years. Wonder why??

It have to do with what happened in 2008 and all the policies that lead to the
crash of markets around the world. I mean this is why you and many GOP
members sound ignorant, it is because you are. You ignore what happened here,
completely ignore the death the housing market, the institutional
fraud that occurred at the highest levels of finance and government,
the stock market crash, the gas prices that have nearly tripled in ten years,
the exportation of our jobs... But you, in all your ignorance,
pin it all on going down the path of socialism. What about the other 56 years
of going down the path of socialism? There were great economic times during
that period, but you ignore that as well.

Debating you guys is like debating superstitious or religious zealots...

why???

Because you have your good book and you are un willing to step outside of it's guidelines.

Do you guys have some good points, I say yes, sometimes you do...
but that sure as hell doesn't mean you are right about everything, you don't
even consider 1% of everything there is to consider, even when it
is laid at your feet with a bow.

Thanks for proving my example! You made a blanket statement that these conditions are
because of the 60 year march to socialism. I gave you examples to show that there are
many other factors. What do you do? You ignore the information and keep the same
ignorant ideas alive. Why not debate me, surely you can't be here to bath in the glory of your
own ignorant positions?

I tell you truly what I think is the only true, decent, intelligent and just way to think and live and everyone who disagrees with me is a doo-doo head! "

I thought at one time there were rules against these kinda things..

They do get kinda old, but they are pretty common these days..

Oh well, there's the dead horse. Everybody got their sticks? Ok - resume the beating on my signal.

I just love the steamroller of belief we have here for "evil" republicans. Shall we talk about ignorance? How about Rep's Meeks, Rangel, and Boxer? All investigated for ethics violations and guess what it was about MONEY! Do not try and sell this drivel with out opening your eyes to what both parties do. The dems just get better press when they do wrong and some of them will distract from the issue by throwing race, vendettas and just plain lying to save their rears [Weiner ring a bell?] What would you say if this administration and it's pals go down as one of the most corrupt since Nixon? The pile up of scandals is not helping your case enough op.

corrupt? I got news for you. So are the Democrats. They both dance
to the same puppet masters. I want to bang my head against the wall
every time I see a thread slamming Democrats OR Republicans. How
can you spend any time at all on this site and still believe there is
a difference between the two?

Are forefathers warned us about a 2 party system and now those warnings
are like chickens coming home to roost.

If you'd bother to read the thread, you would see the that Republicans on this thread hold
the common belief that this country is in a bad position because of socialism. However
when you remind them of what has occurred specifically, they ignore the evidence and
continue to promote the same ignorant explanation of why this country is in a bind.
Social Security and Medicare and food Stamps existed during times of great prosperity,
yet the Republicans on this thread and out in the world blame all the countries woes
on such programs. When you suggest that this country is in bad shape due to the actions
of elite financial interests, the Republicans defend those interests and shift bad to
blaming SS, Medicare and the rest. That is a complete cycle of ignorance, "from butt to
mouth" as they say in these parts.
