Straw polls are won and lost by the candidate themselves buying the votes.

Okay class, this is a fine example of what you say when the Straw Poll doesn't go your way. Now the response if your side wins would be radically different. Can anyone here site an instance of this? Someone...? No one...? Anyone...?

Well that's okay class it was kind of a trick question. There are no examples of the other behavior we are interested in because this side is the only one to win any of the Straw Polls. Unless of course you count the Ames Iowa Straw Poll, but in that case the winner was so quick to go after a foot long corndog on camera that the whole affair has quickly been forgotten out of embarrassment.

Here's the big difference in 2012, in one word: FACEBOOK

With 3/4 of the universe, including Jesus, having a facebook page, Ron Paul's message is being distributed at the ground level more than any other candidate before. If I post this story about Fox once again censoring Sen. Paul, 150+ people will see it. (and my friend list is anemic by FB standards)

If half those people read the headline, that's 75 people who are exposed to the concept, more open to further proof should it come their way. If 5% of my friends open it and read it, that's 7 folks that have been educated. They talk to the guy in the next cubicle, who Google it, and he posts it to his friends...

The media's choice to suppress Paul is being exposed by status updates and youtube video shares. Whether the media is justified in modifying their results due to "internet campaigning" by RP supporters is irrelevant. The perception of the media's actions only causes more voters to wake up to Ron Paul's message.

It doesn't matter how many polls Paul wins. He will never be the republican nominee. All of you know it, yet you scream when someone says it.

Get over it, the system is rigged.

Oh I absolutely agree with you. In fact, If Paul gets too popular, I truly fear his odds of accidental death will skyrocket. There's no way TPTB would allow him near the oval office, because they don't own him.

Now the trick is to get all these people who blow up the online polls and the straw polls to actually go outside and vote. last election i voted for Ron Paul in the primary and wrote him in the general election...donated money online and posted signs over the freeway..... did you?!

if you support the guy.. SUPPORT the guy. its easy to click your mouse and run up the numbers, it takes a little effort to register and vote. i think we can all give up one day of Call of Duty multiplayer to vote. yes?
