But none of these smear items was brought up in her "reality show", so I don't get the relationship to the smear campaigns being waged against Palin and her family.

The relationship is simple...she has invited the attention that you insist is disproportionate. As to the smear campaign...turn over a rock, you shouldn't be surprised if you find bugs. I'm not promoting the smear. If the author lied, he should be sued mercilessly. I note, though, that all the publisher has received so far is huffing and puffing.
Time will tell.

How anyone can come rushing to the side of Palin is beyond me.

she bastardizes the 'Tea Party' name. She makes a mockery of Conservatism.

She is clearly a paid sideshow meant to distract attention away form things of substance.

And she willingly plays her reality TV starring role.

(too bad she couldn't hunt to feed her family worth #-she's a pretend-neck who shops at Wal Mart and claims she hunts)

And ...

She's not running for anything, so why not move along to some real and current issues facing all of us. At least those issues facing people living in the U.S. You know like the economy, jobs, taxes, endless wars, etc. etc. etc.

Or is where you live totally surrounded with dead horses that are not even worth beating any more?

I'm not just insisting it's disproportionate, it's a fact.

Again, you can run the simple searches on ATS that prove it is a fact. Or are you just afraid you'd find out you have been wrong and would then have to let your "neighbor to the north" go off and live in peace?

Of course it is...but she is the one who is most running around yelling "Look at me, look at me!" Actually, I'd say the attention she is getting is entirely proportionate to her antics. Mama Grizzly?...naw...more like Publicity Hound!

So, by your "logic" the mere fact that obama runs around the country and world drawing attention to himself - a "publicity hound" saying "look at me, vote for me" - means that he gets what he deserves in the way of criticisms? And so do his wife and kids since Michelle is also out there making political statements and obama uses his daughters as shills? So, no democrat should take offense at any of that?

All you democrats on ATS getting this? It comes from someone who even though they are outside the U.S., and "above the fray" so to speak, is someone who stays well versed in our political issues.

All right then ...

Nice straw man...was it you who mentioned that she is not currently in any elected office? Obama, on the other hand, is the face of America.

My point is simple...she is trying to create a tide of publicity that she hopes will sweep her into the White House. Pretty much on the basis of her personality. Your media is giving her a corresponding amount of ink. You with me so far?

So...that generates a level of response that seems to be proportionate to her efforts. Hence the preponderance of Palin postings on ATS over...say, Huntsman.

A certain percentage of those postings are going to be negative...hence more anti-Palin posts than...oh, you make the call...Cain? Christie?

Makes sense to this poor ignorant foreigner.

Should this attention include bald-faced lies? Once again, no.

Can we end this now, please? Like I said a couple of pages back, in reference to the actual topic at hand..."Time will tell, then, won't it?"

Sure.

Maybe we can even agree that this thread should never have been created.

A less than credible story from a less than credible source about a less than credible psuedo-political figure.

Both the Dailymail and Sarah Palin say outrageous stuff for attention?

Thats about all I got on the subject.
