2% - Santorum
1% - Huntsman

Results of mid-September 2007 USA Today/Gallup poll:

30% - Guiliani
22% - Thompson
18% - McCain
7% - Romney
4% - Huckabee
4% - Paul
2% - Brownback
2% - Hunter
1% - Tancredo

A little perspective for those who say he isn't polling high enough off the internet, to have a chance.

McCain got the backing of the GOP, whereas Ron Paul the fringer will never get it so your comparison is wrong.

Also Romney won't be dropping out with his warchest and Perry appears to be the favorite of the core party supporters. It is a battle between them two for the full GOP backing and when one becomes the clear favorite the other will likely nod out supporting the other, leaving Ron Paul still hovering about 10% plus or minus a few pts.

For some reason I thought the people chose the primary winner. I didn't know the GOP could override the voters, kinda seems silly to even have elections then, doesn't it?

Tell that to Hillary Clinton.
You know she had the popular vote over Obama right?

Well, that is the kind of stuff he needs to do, these polls and strawpolls at this early in the game are useless.
It is just one obscure county in Iowa but it is real and tangible at least for once. Nothing to go fanatical about.

It's more than Iowa.

2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will receive the endorsement of New Jersey State Senator Michael J. Doherty (R-23) on Monday, September 26th at a noon press conference on the steps of the New Jersey State House, located in Trenton.

State Senator? Where are the US Senators, State Senators are mighty low on the totem pole of National politics, if you want to go to state level the smallest endorsement that matters is a Governor. Then you got some guy who was already in the bag for him in Grand Rapids, I assume that is from the State of Michigan which Obama also has in the bag. A lot of ho hum, no reason for anyone to get excited about.

He could get an endorsement from Jesus and you would shrug it off, I'm sure.

Is there anything Ron Paul can accomplish that wouldn't leave you in a position to only try and discredit him?

For many of those in your set of shoes, it seems the only answer here is 'no', so why do you even bother.

It's not a question of discrediting Ron Paul. I don't care about him really. It's a question of reality. The political reality is the GOP will never nominate him no matter how many polls he wins.

Sorry if that breaks your heart but that's the system.

The main stream media will hardly even acknowledge Ron Paul's existence. yet hes clearly the peoples choice. This media black out on the success of his camping just goes to show the power of the rich. they own all the media and finance all the other candidates. Ron Paul is not allowed to be president. George Carlin was right theses people "OWN YOU."
