friend, I dont know where you are from but here in the US, check with your local lodge. They have an "open house" night. Go in, talk to some of the guys! Some places have a few books (by/about Masonry). Sit down with one for a bit.

No offence, but however much the Freemason organisation tries to give things to charity, or do good deeds openly, the conspiracy theories won't die off.

Conspiracy theories are often formed when theres a lack of information. And theres certainly a lack of information when it comes to Secret Societies.

One can only guess at what they really do no matter how much the Freemasons do good deeds out in the open.

i have to agree with casius about the masons. my reason is that why, if they are such a good organization, do they have so many foul, evil members up at the top, including but not limited to most of the american elite? i'm not talking about joe the plumber, or jim the a/c repairman, i'm talking about the corporate thugs in the top tiers of freemasonry that we know of. i have to say i think the charity is a front also and the open house as well, something to pacify those who don't know better and are happy with their own hive mind mentality.

Ever heard of symbolic messages? It could be a coded symbolic message for high level masons (33rd degrees). If you free your mind from the controlled way you have been taught to think, you may actually start to see it for yourself.

Sorry to beg the point, but you could also say that the person sacrificing the cat was mistaken when he thought his actions had nothing to do with his neighbor. I'm certain his neighbor wouldn't agree.

Perhaps nothing of import was accomplished by killing the cat, no demonstrable effect, just a guy grieving for his companion. Poor guy, poor cat.
