What's Going On With Media??

Every time I try to log into my media to start to upload pictures for a new thread, I get a blank white page. Tried on two computers thinking it might be some shenanigans on my PC. Nope same thing.

Is it just down or something?

Same here, and my avatar also disappeared. No access to media for us.

I try to go to the tools, pictures, and I get a white screen.

I sent a complaint. Have you?

There is another thread on this called, White Page.
I picked a bad time to try to change my avatar so ended up with none, for now.
It could be if I had thought to save the address for my old avatar, I could bring it back, but can't get to it to even get the address, as of now.

I guess all we can do is wait.........taps fingers.

Tells me it is temporarily been disabled.

We're working on a new solution for member picture/image uploads as the media center code has become unsustainable for a list of growing reasons.

The new code is installed and being tested, and we're ironing on a few bugs, so please be patient, it will be worth the wait.

It will be tightly integrated with the discussion board, and you'll be able to...

Upload images from the reply or new thread form...

Upload an image directly from the account page for your avatar or mini-profile background...

Upload images from the "tools" menu...

Be able to resize your images when uploading...

All with no additional log-ins.

Thanks for the thread, I was starting to wonder what was going on as i also have been getting a white page when trying to get into my pictures.

Sounds like the changes will be well worth the wait!
Now if we could just get batch edit!

i do have some really very interestings pictures to upload...but as of this hour i still got "uploading of image is still temporarily disabled"...i just hope it isnt related to the pictures i want to upload...

I was just about to ask what was up with pics.

I guess I will just keep the tab open with my reply and add pics when the media is working.

I always had problems with media so Im really glad to see you have been working on it! I can't wait to see how it works now.

It's not you. I'm getting the same thing and all after I got a bunch of pics together that i edited and cropped for the current moon thread and now I can't add them..Kind of makes my reply pointless without pics!

Now I'm interested in your pics! Any hints?

Oops, I was thinking someone might comment on that. I was trying to upload a new avatar and it deleted the address to my old avatar and then sent me to a blank page. I tried different web browsers until I found one which would send me to my files to get that address back.

just the other day i took some screen shots of an area in Mars google coord. 0 23'00.05"S /108 30'43.63"W where it shows a very well defined structure or some sort of a facilty basically a building of some sort about 40 meters high with an extended horizontal structure about 170 meters long. i made some annotations regarding its dimensions and was thinking of preparing it for posting. when i checked it out his morning i checked the google apps and to my surprise the whole building is gone. what was left was images of unbelivably clear hilllocks!
but my annotations gut stuck.
i dont have any gripes with google, its been my tool for my own researches, but it seems that they are not really the ones in control of their technology.
you may send me your e-mail/facebook . would be very glad to share them with you.
