Actually, Luna is to close for Hubble to get hi-def pictures. It was designed to take pictures at great distances, not ones of near earth objects.

I dont believe it. Coming from NASA they always lie to try and be the first one's to do this, and to be there. They haven't even made it to the moon yet. Once again they just faked it in an Area51 bunker to try and "Land on the moon before the Russians".

Maybe you answered your question, our question..."why?" Why would a former Nasa employee claim their is life out there? Maybe Nasa can't say there is life beyond, or evidence of ancient ruins etc. because then they'd be held accountable for proof, but they want us to think there is for the exact reason you mentioned... to get funding. So they use staff, and high profile people like Edgar Mitchell to go off scipt and give the public nuggets that convince us their is life out there, that there are ruins and they are hiding it... when in fact, maybe they have found nothing. If they have in fact found nada, zero... after all these years and billions, then yes... it is hard to justify Nasa's existence (not to us but to the public at a large). If that is the case, then these conspiracies and all of our hopes and fascinations that their really is something up there, then these supposed leaks help their funding efforts.
I do hope I'm wrong, but the truth is that there is a much better chance of funding a manned mission to Mars for example if they publicly say their is a good chance of finding ancient microbial life, and they use back channels to"leak" to people like us that there are actual ruins... evidence of past intelligent life, and even hints of alien life existing on Mars and it's moons today. Hmmm... another layer of critical thinking I now need to add to my bullsh!t filter.

Sometimes I'm at a loss and don't know what to believe anymore, but this is very interesting indeed. How much longer until we can take trips there for ourselves and see it with our own eye.. lol

People do, in fact, go to space. Once you're in space, the hard part is over. Why wouldn't they go to the moon, if it's so simple once you've achieved earth orbit?

If you believe humans never landed on the moon, do you also believe we've never landed any probes there? How about lunar orbit? Have we ever put automated probes in orbit around the moon? Has a human ever orbited the moon?

Do you think the whole thing is a joke and no human has ever actually been in space at all? That really would make more "sense", if such a word can be applied to this topic. Because getting a vehicle containing humans out of earth's gravity well and into high orbit and then spending a lot of time faking tons of material about lunar landings is retarded. That's like driving from New York to Las Vegas, getting a hotel room, and then, instead of going to any casinos, you hire a multimedia company to fake pics and video of you partying in casinos to show your friends back home.

Shostak is, in my opinion one of THE biggest liars you'll find (regarding the ET question at least) and as deeply involved in the cover up of ET sightings and contacts as it's possible to be.

Millions, probably tens of millions of UFO sightings worldwide, all the way back to reports from ancient times, middle ages, Renaissance period, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, right up till now, as i type there are probably reports being made, many by those society would deem credible or reliably (read: honest and intelligent) witnesses.

No comments from Shostak about the latest ABC coverage i notice. (look it up)

And NO it wasn't the very convenient satellite 'due down' at the end of this month. NASA claim to not know what the object was that was seen by thousands across the Western United States a few days ago, including an ABC news team. I would imagine NASA would know the whereabouts of their own satellite at any rate, especially as we routinely track space objects / debris down to the size of a golf ball (the bird in question is larger than a golf ball i assume..).

The ABC news teams' report includes the 'very large and bright object "hovering above the clouds for around 15 minutes, before *ascending into* the atmosphere...then 30 minutes later a 'meteorite' was seen travelling in a horizontal trajectory". Falling 'birds' or meteorites don't do either of these things.

And here we have Shostak with his begging bowl and almost continuously empty pockets, always looking for 'research' grants, who despite decades of searching for ET have found...nothing..not even a sniff..being used as 'proof' nothing otherworldly has been intercepted or discovered by him or his associates?!

Millions of recorded sightings, on just about every medium from red ochre cave paint, oral, classical artworks, print, photographic and film, through to radar, lidar and a whole host of others...yet not a peep from Shostak or his little band of very expensive 'ET hunters'?! Not even a measly few dozen 'possibles' in how many decades of supposedly intensely searching?

Yeah, right...i'm sure the government, who deny knowledge of ET's (whether that be the US or Netherlands, or whomever is currently bribing / paying him) would be climbing all over themselves to be chucking money at the lying squirt (in my opinion Shostak), IF he announced arbitrarily to the world that he'd found ET intelligence or solid evidence of the same right on our doorstep, and had been routinely cataloguing them for years!

Knowing the majority of the worlds governments actively promote denial of ET's existence, especially the US government ('to avoid panic'..apparently), if he wants to carry on riding the grant gravy train, he will carry on keeping his mouth firmly shut about any discoveries he and his carefully chosen team makes...add a dash of outright denial on a few TV shows and magazine articles now and again, a few select quips during lecture circuits and he probably gets a nice little bonus for artistic merit too.

I wouldn't wipe my backside on that article you quoted, let alone believe a word of something written that has anything remotely connected to Shostak or his brand of 'seal of approval'.

And if you're reading Seth, you've probably figured out by now, you know...reading between the lines, that i'm not your biggest fan. I cannot abide liars.

Seems like all hype for the new movie Apollo 16 i think it is, where aliens are on the moon.

I just wish NASA/government would just inform the world on what they have truly found out there in the universe i can only imagine how interesting it would all be

but aliens on the moon wonder what they were doing.... watching over us?

i personally see no reason to believe there is any form of life on the moon, purely on the fact that they would have contacted us or something, i also dont believe that if ET beings did exist, they will come out and say say whats up... im sure they, like us think that they are the only peeps in the universe etc and would be excited to feed on human flesh...

i do believe that those photoes at the start of the thread were fake, 15mins on photoshop, i can make dat # @ home... nice and pixelated too, make it easy as fuk...

I do however, believe that there are other Things out there that we havnt seen/experianced yet, but not inside out galaxy...

then again, i could be wrong...
it could make sense that mayans and such were abducted as a whole race and taken away or something, but why leave earth behind?, and no clues at all... just doesnt make sense to me...

I don't know about current life on the moon, but my Mother has said for years (like 40 years) that she believed that there was something going on up there. I always thought she was out of her mind, but over the last few years I have wondered why she was so adamant about her beliefs. Maybe it is not there now.. maybe it is us??? I just wish we were privy to any decent information on the moon and its structures/inhabitants. The future is exciting!

Whether they exist or not is irrelevant. Because nobody will believe they exist unless it's on mainstream media.

This seems backwards to me. I'd say that the truth of the existence(or non-existence) of this stuff is a standalone fact, and people's belief or disbelief of that fact is irrelevant.
