Riverside, Orange County Residents Reporting Strange Lights In The Night Sky
Residents in and around south west Riverside Wednesday reported seeing a series of strange lights up in the sky.
Viewers described shooting lights, with multi-colors, including many reports saying the object or objects “had a tail.”
The first reports came from Riverside County. Within a half hour of the first reports, several Orange County residents also reported seeing the lights.
Most say the lights are “blue and green”
CBS2 and KCAL9 received emails and phone calls from Murrieta, Perris, Irvine, Ontario, Riverside, Lake Forest, Corona and San Clemente.
Additionally, police also report they have gotten many calls wondering what the lights are.
Some residents of Arizona have reported seeing the lights as well.
UFO’s? Several days ago, NASA announced a dead satellite would fall to Earth by “September’s end” but so far, no official confirmation if the lights and satellite are linked.

It has to be meteor activity if seen from California to Arizona.... I've also learned of reports from much further away, but I'm trying to confirm the sources on that.
At 5:38 am, about 3 mins. ago, a huge fireball or UFO flew in the sky from the directions of SW to NE. We live in Oak Cliff Dallas, and it was directly overhead, and it was BIG and BRIGHT. I swear to God. My partner and I were out smoking and we both saw it. It was blazing bright with and orange, red, and bluish flame as it traveled across the whole sky, and it appeared to be low in the atmosphere. It had to have been a meteor or UFO of a good size, and with the size and brilliance of the light it produced, I would not be surprised if someone finds it on the ground in NE Dallas if in fact it was a meteor!
Hello again! Thank you for the replies, and I am glad some others were able to see how neat it was too. The flame did not dissipate as far as I could see as it was still going strong as it went past the treeline when we weren't able to see it anymore. Fortunately though, we were to see it in a large swath of sky before going past the trees. It headed directly over Dallas Downtown, so a Cam or traffic cam must have captured it on film.
I did not hear any noises from it, and don't know where it may have landed, but from the looks it would be somewhere NE of Dallas if it did land and not break up in the atmosphere.
