Take it for what it's worth of course.

That with the "black helicopters" comment in the OP makes the story very ATS worthy. Validity of course, remains to be seen however.

Looks fairly legit...however that particular picture doesn't seem to give justice to the descriptions of grandeur that people are describing it. I am sure more will come forth soon enough. There are already 2 other threads in 2 separate forums going about this. They both have the same headline...someone will hopefully post a video
Good work on the links by the way!

Wow wow wowww

Look at the comments of some witness

I live in Riverside and saw it around 740 when my kids and I returned from dinner. We initially thought it was a falling star but it grew larger, brighter and bright green as it descended. Pretty freaky..odd weather, earthquake, random things falling from the sky.

I think you're right about the satellite re-entry theory. The black helicopters fit with that too, as I would suspect they would need to secure the scene where the debris falls?

That is a really big meteor. I am guessing by the amount of area it covered it was not the size of a firework either.

What an interesting story unfolding before my eyes...

It has all the great workings for a great "story"

mystery, witnesses, and military copters!

SnF.... I will watch this thread closely!
(As I dont frequent any other forums...)

...anyone care to look outside?

Even if you not in the SW US....

I'm going to now... just for curiosity

Well I looked out side
South East Kentucky is my location...

I didnt see nothing but...
Fog, the glow of Moon and Jupiter
and the sound of eerie wind in the distance...

The last one is purely for effect

That photo wont load for me.... cursed dial up!

Its not a meteor. Doesnt look like the satellite. Its kind of greenish blue. And chased by choppers.

This appears to be a picture of the Jules Verne craft re-entering and not tonight's meteor. Pretty cool pic though.

For the first time since joining ATS it won't let me upload a picture to my account, I tried other pics too so it must be something with ATS...

The link still works, it appears to be the real deal to me...

Looks like a big meteor (?????)

Several reports are that it is NOT the satellite the US expected to crash down in late September.
