I don't see what is so bad.

Every politician has a different trick up their sleeve.

I think Obama is just doing what it takes to get a new term in Office. He would be a bit dumb if he were not looking at every possibility into gaining a new term.

I am surprised it has not been done sooner.

No doubt ATS will have many complaints and soon certain people on here will be getting their customary knock at the door. Knock knock.......

Come on Coders,
Spend 30 minutes and write up some code

Two inputs:
Dictionary of slang, rude idioms
Online Phonebook

Output: That website submission page

Set to loop.

It will be a worthless site of intel in less than 24 hours

No, I'm not giving them the satisfaction of a report..Although I did think of contacting them to report
an alien in the White House, (illegal alien that is) but that would be MUON, now wouldn't it?

As for the title, the site states "paid for by Obama". Further inquiry reveals the site is run by OFA, Obama For
America.

Is this what Obama wants for America? Loss of free speech? This Big Brother mentality?
what in the hell is he thinking?

I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this much lunacy, even for Barry!
I am modulating between LMAO to pure rage!

Thanks for the comments,
Pax

How is this a violation of Free Speech? Congress has made no laws to shut anyone up.

This appears to be this election's "Fight the Smears". I don't see what the problem is. Can you explain how this is a violation of anything? Thanks.

Leads to losses of freedom.....

Our economy in shambles,no solutions,or fixes.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Generating fear is a tactic of someone who knows they don't have the intellectual or moral strength to win.

If Limbaugh or Hannity spend 5 minutes on this and ask folks to report nonsense, the site will crash and burn in an hour

Oh for heavens sake, BH.
If the GOP were doing this you'd have kittens- er. . . puppies!
While this is not an inhibition of freedom of speech, this is thug-police-state tactics.

Orwellian? This is sooooo 1984, that I'm going to start wearing my Members Only jacket again!

www.sodahead.com...

I think this re-enforces the idea that Obama has some psych issues. He obviously can't stand to be ridiculed and wants all those bad things to just go away. Exactly what are they going to do to the people who are reported? Legally, if you're not threatening the president, there is nothing they can do. I can't imagine the mental state of a president that will go to these lengths to silence the criticism.

So, nothing illegal or nefarious, just a feeling of uneasiness, then?

You do realize that the website isn't asking us to report other people, right? Just the attacks. And it's totally voluntary.

Every politician for many years has employed tactics in order to get feedback and find out what people are saying, but it's only THIS president's efforts that are "Orwellian"... :shk:

Have you ever heard of political polls? There's a reason for them. To find out what the public thinks and address it. That's all this is.

Also, politicians all have physical mail, email, websites and telephones - all ways of finding out what the public is thinking and addressing those issues.

That's a bit of a s-t-r-e-t-c-h to compare a website where you can report people who disagree with policy to polls.

I'm not buying it.

The website is not to report people. There are no options to report people.

Here are the terms to submit an "attack".

I like this sentence. . . .

I grant OFA a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty free license to publish, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, edit, modify, create derivative works of and otherwise use the Submissions in any manner or media and for any purpose whatsoever at the sole discretion of OFA, including without limitation any political, advertising or commercial use of any kind.

Nawww, this is completely "innocent".
