I agree with the above positive sentiments; in fact I was real close to calling CGI!!! on that first octopus, that's how unbelievable his/her skills were!

I want that ability!
Talk about octo-camo from Metal Gear Solid 4!.
You just know the military is using these creatures for research.

Nature is absolute beauty...

I saw this video a couple of years back, its just SO amazing, the first time you see the creature, you have NO idea it's even there.

Most interesting sir, thanks for posting this!

don't eat sentient beings, phage...

I think that owl when faced with an almost similarly sized bird was trying to psyche him out; like "I'm too big to be prey for you!"

Then when he was hopelessly outsized, he was like "I'm too thin to be eaten. See? No meat!" Also, he could be going for a sitting cat impression

Nice video O.P.

Thought it was going to be about the mimic octopus until I watched the vid.
I absolutely love how nature uses camouflage.
Colour matching to their suroundings even though they are colour blind is incredible.

The mimic was discovered in Indonesia in 1998. Don't know if you have seen any footage of it, but it is amazing:

edit:
someones already posted about the mimic, it's definitely worth a watch.

I would have to disagree. Making the universe out of nothing and humans out of dust seem's incredibly intelligent to me.

The most impressive thing to me is the "pixel" skin with colorized dots too small to be seen with the naked eye. Tell me how this denizen has control over the microscopic dot matrix of primary colors? How does he mix and match them to his background from OUR view point?

I think I am going to add this one to my list of proof of creator things next to the Genetic Code, eggs, seeds, wombs, and minds.

After watching those amazing videos (thank you!), it really makes me wonder about other animals/creatures that may or may not exist. Have they developed the same type of abilities, to help them remain hidden from us? Hhhmmm.....

That's what I was thinking as I watched both videos repeatedly.

OP, Great Post!!! Thanks...

So many amazing creatures created on this earth and people will still say there is no God..
It was Evolution. Thats impossible. Proof is everywhere, think about how our own human body works, and everything out brain does, and all millions of animans.. but yet, it was evolution.

smart.

And what makes people think God isn't the one who created evolution? Seems logical to me.

The strange case of solar flares and radioactive elements

news.stanford.edu...

Stanford Report, August 23, 2010

It's a mystery that presented itself unexpectedly: The radioactive decay of some elements sitting quietly in laboratories on Earth seemed to be influenced by activities inside the sun, 93 million miles away.

Is this possible?

Researchers from Stanford and Purdue University believe it is. But their explanation of how it happens opens the door to yet another mystery.

There is even an outside chance that this unexpected effect is brought about by a previously unknown particle emitted by the sun. "That would be truly remarkable," said Peter Sturrock, Stanford professor emeritus of applied physics and an expert on the inner workings of the sun.

That's a bold statement you make. You have just segregated a large population (the majority) of the world because they don't read or follow your bible. God doesn't segregate. Yours young, one day wisdom may find it's way to you bu that day is not today.
