He blamed America for 9/11.

RP is an idiot for making that statment. Even if that is what he truly thinks...you don't say it.

That will plague him forever now...he can't even run for it because he had a chance to clarify and he just dug himself deeper.

That was a bad bad moment for Ron Paul.

He blamed American foreign policy. I didn't hear him blame me or you. If you're an idiot for speaking the truth, what does it make you for speaking a lie?

You guys are calling the crowd idiots and war mongers.

But guess what...THESE ARE THE PEOPLE RON PAUL NEEDS.

He has no filter and is too extreme...and dare I say he is TOO honest???

I don't care if he has the best ideas in the world...you need a filter and you need to have the common sense to know when to say something and when to keep your mouth shut.

This is Ron Paul's demise...he has no filter on his more extreme ideas.

What hypocrite this santorum guy... He talks about how americans love freedom, liberty and peace yet you are massacring millions of innocent civilians half way around the world.

Telling the people what they want to hear is the reason why we are partially in this mess.
Why would he lie just to make himself "look better," if we all want the truth.

It's not his fault the crowd was stuffing their faces with Freedom Fries and feels "exceptional" for their "way of life".

My goodness, I thought they were going to rush the stage... freakin' animals... I bet they thought Team America was a documentary.

Lovely, everybody watch now as the MSM focuses on defense question. Already a breaking news ticker on CNN "Ron Paul takes some heat from crowd after saying Al Qaeda cited U.S. foreign policy as motive for 9/11 attacks "

I haven't seen any breaking news banners pop up from any other candidate so far...

again, you are making a good point with logic behind it. but this is the GOP debate and paul has to play by the rules if he wants to win over those outside of us loons here at ats. he shouldn't have made that move with the website right now, it can't help him. those who support him already believe and those on the fence will not be swayed by such a controversial claim.

Really...did you see nametags on the people that boo'd???

You can call these people idiots all you want...but these are the people that will or won't vote Ron Paul as the nominee.

You can say don't filter "truth" all you want as well...but that isn't going to win an election.

Common sense should tell Ron Paul this...and he really seems to lack common sense.

He has said it before in previous debates, even this year in New Hampshire I believe. Unfortunately the CNN crowd aren't exactly people who get their news from drudgereport and believe every bit of propaganda they hear from CNN, Fox and even MSNBC.

Ron Paul doesn't need a fake TEA Party.
He doesn't NEED to win this election. WE need him to.
Truth is, he may be too good for this country. A country that cannot even come to grips with the truth about 911.

My dad is a Chief Master Sergeant with the Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal. He was overseas for Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, etc (the pyramid effect keeps him over there). He has been telling me for years that the people of those countries have been telling him the same thing. While they're glad that we are building schools and stuff there, if we continue to place bases and occupy their countries we WILL be attacked.

Lolz....

Ron Paul says he will bring "common sense and Austrian Economics" to the WH and Perry says he will bring his "gorgeous" wife....

Rick Perry no one cares about your wife. I don't care how pretty she is. You definitely don't belong in the White House
