He said that hospitals have gotten away from the practice of accepting people without insurance because all-around healthcare costs have gone through the roof. With special licensing, lack of competition, inflation, and malpractice, cost of medicine and the pharmaceutical industry, and restrictions on alternative medicine. Also churches used to take care of people who had no insurance.
If we were to restore this economy back to its full potential not only would more people be able to afford care and medicine, but there would also be less of an incentive for hospitals to turn people away because costs will be down. Also we could have public health clinics set up for the uninsured. Not everything is end-all be all, and you are largely responsible for taking care of yourself to the best of your ability, with what you have control over. The things you cannot control, obviously you will be given aid, and in a robust economy where healthcare prices are down, you can bet that we would find ways to take care of our poor, sick and dieing.

and how far does your generosity reach? births? broken legs? the sniffles? or do you just cut the help at 'prevention of deaths'?
It is because the lawsuits, insurance and healthcare industry has ballooned its own prices, doctors can no longer 'help' people out of the kindness of their hearts.
