(Just to clarify that my rant against ageism above was about the issue in general, and the "you" is used generically for people with ageist attitudes. It's not directed at anyone on ATS. That seems quite obvious, but I thought it's best to clarify and avoid any misunderstandings. One doesn't have to find somebody attractive to still respect their feelings, and I can't believe that some make older people feel bad about themselves and even want to segregate them out of social spaces. But of course ageism can go both ways.)
