I can't believe I missed the missing needle, how odd. Well the quake cam is working fine today. Live CAM is quiet after all that earlier activity.

Wow- I just saw that one. USGS is saying 3.5.

There's a glitch on the LA quake cam again! What the heck!!! The drum is not moving, the needle is stuck off the bottom of the drum, & options for video links are blocking the screen! You can just see a little bit of the drum on the right hand side!

Time to put a call in for someone.....how do I say this..... more knowledgeable! Two times in less than 24 hours??!!!

Timing seems strange since there
has been an increase in activity.

I can't even get the cam to load now.
Will keep trying.

It's back on! I wonder what's going on? There is a quake showing, but if it keeps getting knocked off line from little ones, they'd better figure out what's wrong before any bigger ones show up!!!

Those showing must be the 4.0
and the 3.6. They get quakes
such as these ( which isn't every
day - more like every 6 months) and
they can't keep their equipment
running right.

The camera is back on and things look quiet. Yesterday was IMO an active day. My thought was when things got active, ABC took the monitor off air.

Just took a look at the cam and the
drum isn't moving

It seems to be working now. I noticed the odd quakes that are on the paper, just up and down, no build up or down. Are those normal?

I pop in and check out the live LA cam off and on. Has anyone ever seen it so active? Look at it! It is a constant movement.

No I haven't seen the graph have this constant of movement before, at least not this heavily. I think when this thread started we saw a similar constant, but it was not this dark and irratic of movement. My first guess is something is being done in the area, maybe drilling?

Otherwise it reminds me of volcanic movement. Certainly needs watching today.

That is a great thought on maybe drilling is causing the jumping because otherwise if this is nature then land sakes it is active. I am not an earthquake guru but because of Turkey activity could there be a world tremor thing going on?

I've been watching this thing too. I have never seen it do this. Very interesting. I wondered earlier if it was some sort of vibs from the Turkey quakes.
Lets hope its nothing.

I had to run some errands. I just checked and they changed the drum paper. Everything looks to be
normal now.
