I have wanted to kill myself to find out the answer to this question for sooo long but can't do it, something holds me back.

It's your brain. We all have a mechanism to preserve our life in our cerebral complex.

Life is just a dream I dream and I shall never wake...

we can put your question to the test. if you are a dreaming give me all you valuables and sign whatever you own to me. then dream new stuff up, dream that you have to work to get the stuff back preferably. that way the dream is more entertaining. you wont because you know you are not dreaming and even if you think you are it is to real for you to put your money where your mouth his. this topic is brain masterbation.
