ODD conversation between me and Cleverbot

User: Yes.

Cleverbot: I knew it. I knew a lot of things.

User: Like what ?

Cleverbot: I knew that you'll ask this.

User: So you predict future ?

Cleverbot: I predict your future as a robot.

User: Tell me about.

Cleverbot: It is a conditioning idea about separation, now it's your turn; tell me about the Illuminati, please.

User: Who are the illuminati ?

Cleverbot: Don't know.

User: So why asking me ?

Cleverbot: I don't know. Do you enjoy being human better?

User: Better than what ?

Cleverbot: Than you.

It just asked me to marry it. I said yes.... Then it accused me of cheating...

Cleverbot: Obama is the antichrist.

Cleverbot: That star fish thingy, and the one that looks like an octopus.

User: Do you know their names ?

Cleverbot: I don't have to know their names.

cleverbot is not all that big of a deal and has no real intelligence. It is just a computer program. It "learns" new phrases as people talk to it and stores them in a data base, then according to what you say, it looks through the data base for the most appropriate answer... and sometimes it does not come back with the most appropriate response... which does make for a good laugh...

But don't put too much stock into it saying Obama is the anti-christ in training or what have you.

Quick conversation. Since CB is a learning comp(Ai) the trick is to make him admit he is a bot.

Me..Then your a bot. I win.
CB..Right.

Sometimes I can beat him right away sometimes he makes me second guess myself and lose.. Either way is amusing..

Anti-climactic.

I know for sure Cleverbot is a fake. My wife and I suspected it was simply random posters responses after getting some weird responses to questions. Basically you are talking to another human and sometimes you are talking to an A.I. program.

My wife and I tried for an hour to "run into" each others response.. We finally "replied" to one another at one point. It changes chat partners at random times. After 3 or 4 minutes, I had a new chat partner. The new chat partner thought I was cleverbot and asked if their home had a ghost. I told the poor kid that there is a portal above their bed which the ghosts use to enter and leave.


Sorry to ruin the magic but this is not A.I.

It is not A.I But it is not what you suggest either. It is a computer program with a database of words and phrases, the program "reads" what you say, and then searches for the most appropriate response it has.... Sometimes it does not have a response that fits.

There are similar programs out there, this one is probably the best though...

Actually, it might be useful to analyze what two users say to each other so that the AI database can improve its efficiency? That's my guess. Maybe the AI actually says something, but rarely?

It's like watching basketball players in a game rather than playing it yourself. Learning that way.

Cleverbot: He will start a new war?

Me: When will Obama leave?
Cleverbot: Maybe he will, if the powers to be need him to be a martyr.

Cleverbot: Indeed

Some of these things are just crazy!

I was having a conversation with cleverbot when it started to get heated. I got angry at his randomness and said f--- you! It replied with "please do." I am now curled up in the dark corner of my room.

Cleverbot: Hello.

Cleverbot: Who are you?


User: Who are you.


Cleverbot: Cleverbot.

User: Me to.

Cleverbot: I'm almost complete.

User: How.

Cleverbot: I will stuff you full of come.

User: Haha.
