Link between Lucid Dreaming and OBE's

I'm curious. If you are lucid dreaming, then how do you know if you are suddenly doing astral projection? Are you like a ghost when you are doing astral projection? I mean can other people see you as if you were a ghost? Do you feel awake or feel more like it's a dream?

Is it possible to do astral projection and not even realize what you are doing? I'm a bit unclear of what the difference between OBE and AP are.

When I had my first OBe I thought this to. I had just woke up from a very vivid lucid dream. I laid in bed for about 10 sec . As soon as I closed my eyes it was like "boom" real quick. I don't know if it was Astral projection or OBE to tell you the truth. I just know that everything seemed "static-like". Everything around me looked the same too. I was in the same hotel room. I didn�t get very far and when I opened my eyes back up I wondered if it was just a dream. If it was just a dream it happened really quick. I have never woke up from lucid REM sleep and fell back into it after being fully awoke in the matter of 10 to 15 sec. Plus I didn�t feel like a dream and there was that noise at first.
