from my limited knowledge on asian geo politics the japanese are kind of the most hated kids on the block in mainland asia for that whole rape and pillaging thing so a chinese japanese alliance is more in the realms of clancy then reality. i think if anything japan will aly with the enemys of china due to the regions mutual fear and mistrust of china (ie there more scared of china then japan these days)

None of which really conflicts with the fact that the US is sitting on it's own very large reserves and can and will produce it's own if push comes to shove.

Just like many here love to state that "arrogant Americans" like to believe that China doesnt have a capability that the USA is aware of conversely realize and understand that China does not know what the US has up it's sleeve either.

No. They would be impossibly out numbered. The US would call on its European allies, and it's likely it would also make it's middle east allies join too. The African Union is unofficially allied to the European Union as well. It would result in complete annihilation of China.

Yet another reason for china to take the US soil, if everything goes down the tubes ie. world economy, what other option for china to do than attack the US with heavy force and take it for its own. Mostly for the Agriculture infrastructure. Don't quote me on this, this is only Theory. There's many scenarios and possible outcomes.

There's that little thing called the Pacific ocean in the way. They will never get here unless Scotty beams them over. That one aircraft carrier they got would have to make over a million escort trips, assuming it could survive one .

That Libya War is run by NATO lead by France and Britain, US is backup support roll. Can't pin it on the US. We are only obligating our treaties legally as a nation. No crimes involved there.

meh i doubt the Chinese will attack...yet. they are currently modernizing their military so give it a few years and China's military will be far more up to date and with unfathomable amounts of troops at their disposal and manufacturing capacity that is just unimaginable I really would bet my money on China.

And just to add to it that it wont just be china, I would think every enemy or ex-enemy will be launching attacks as well and with only the UK and possibly some European countries as allies which I doubt would offer any backing anyway I really don't think the US would stand a chance.

You think just because your guns are bigger that a thousand to one smaller guns wouldn't stand a chance? The US is falling and China is rising get over it, there is a new boss rising on the block.

I have to agree. Any first strike from China would be met with an overwhelming counter attack. Even if the Chinese did launch a first strike on the US the silos are so hardened (remember they were built to take multiple direct hits from Soviet MIRVS) that a fair number would survive. This doesn’t even take into consideration the US strategic missile boats.

To be honest, China doesn't have enough delivery systems to make an ICBM attack on the U.S. mainland worth it. They have around 24 missiles, total, with practical range to strike -parts- of the mainland. Even if they have a few systems we don't know about, total delivery systems is likely well below 50 - well within what our current ABM systems can handle, and minor in terms of losses to attrition, since a lot of those will be doubled-up on targets.

Now - an attack on one of our allies in the region - such as Korea.... that's entirely plausible. Though it would not really accomplish much at this point, as China has no capability to stand against a concentrated U.S. effort to dispatch them from a region.

I'm not saying they aren't big boys on the block. I'm just saying we're bigger and have better toys to use.

Besides, we're on the way to destruction and have no chance to survive. They should simply allow us to make our time. Someone set up us the burst.

If we fired on Russia the way the article describes this scenario the Russian would be more than capable of the same as you quoted doing to us! That isn't saying "they'd kick our asses" Those are describing Armageddon. Reread them again objectively

They are stating the truth that any Nuclear attack on another nuclear armed country would be retaliated by said target nation. You do realize that would mean the complete and utter destruction of both don't you?
