Great gesture by American Rap star 50 cent to Norwegian victims.

Its nice to see entertainers support the species this way. 1 hopes his compassions are TRUE and sincere. He has felt the pains of being shot before and this may be part of his connection with those victims in Norway. If its for propaganda then the MOST HIGHEST who judges us all will see and this will be something he will have to spiritually account for during Judgment day. The voices of the entertainers globally can be an effective means to reach some in the populations who may be youth and still seeking peer guidance. Where the ignorance needs denied is in areas where some entertainers who make movies/music do it with such ignorance that they use their potential voices and movie screen acting to spread evol and death to maturing minds who follow these entertaining icons. Ignorance that the youth feel they can mimic w/o the youth being given the entire picture/plan. The entire picture being, yes I as a entertainer can rap or make movies about the harsh upcoming I experienced but I made it thru the ruff and found a way to generate legit capital$$$. This is where the youth fall to the side with the total picture. Their young minds see these entertainers who carry the persona of Gs ex:movie Scarface/Sopranos/the Wire and music the Massacre/Get rich or try dying -video games- Grand theft auto series and many more ect.. With the young minds seeing the gangsta persona they forget that regardless of their street ties they the entertainers STILL found ways to generate LEGAL CAPITAL THEY HAVE JOBS. Many youth get caught up in FOLLOWING that they miss this part of the game THEY NEED JOBS TOO! And that their fav. entertainers who carry G personas have found employment and they must too. W/ that SOME of the youth tend to try and become 50 cents or Tony Montanas (partially) but don't acknowledge these humans are still WORKING FOR their MONEY and not doing it TOTALLY the gutter way ( I SAY SOME BECAUSE SOME YOUTH ARE SMART AND ONLY ENJOY THE ENTERTAINMENT OF THE MUSIC OR MOVIES to them its not that serious but the followers)? If the Youth who miss this part of the game seen this MANY would not follow such aggressive paths to WANT to become gangsters ONLY, because they would recognize that yes they may not work at a 9 to 5 BUT THEY DO HAVE JOBS.. So in many ways if the entertainers are responsible for consciously effecting others they should have more compassion for the EARS WHO LISTEN AND WATCH THEM BECAUSE MANY YOUNG MINDS MISSED THE ENTIRE PICTURE and only see 50 and others who entertain in music and on TV how they flow lyrics "G" music and act gangsta and NOT HOW THEY WORK TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES legit as well. Which leaves the youth trying to REALLY ONLY GET RICH OR DIE TRYING AND NOT WORK ALSO...

While not a fan, 50 cent did grow up in Detroit during it's highest murder rates. If anyone is going to understand what the people in Norway went through, he would be a likely canidate. He and many detroit residents have seen hundreds mudered over thier lifetimes...friends, family, neighbors,ect.

First and foremost, It's the thought that counts. And positive Karma...

People want to dwell on the negative, but he's also starred in some pretty good movies, one of which was

"Home of the Brave" and I will have to say that it really captured what the Iraq war vets are facing upon returning to civilian life here in the good 'Ol USA.

I am not a big rap fan, or "50 Cent" fan in particular, but I think many fail to see what this guy has created and that's a marketing and Brand image....just like IBM, Coca Cola, McDonalds or Levis ....have done in the past.

His name is Curtis Jackson III...and not "50 Cent"

50 Cent is a marketing image, a corporate entity, he's a self made man using what he knows best, which is the hustle and bustle of making money in a capitalistic society via a brand name and a product which sells.

Good for him. For figuring out the SECRET to creating wealth in our society after being dealt a hand of poverty and abandonment with no Father around, and his mother was killed when he was only 8 years old.

And later for contributing what he can to these recent Norwegian victims by contributing what he can ....and what he does as an entertainer.

Once again , it's the thought that counts. And Karma....

I'm a huge fan of hip-hop, a DJ, and a producer for local MC's.

I don't like 50 cent's music much. In fact, I REALLY dislike it. That's beside the point though.
Curtis James Jackson III is a good man, with a good heart. I've seen a lot of stuff about him as a person, and he's the real deal. I don't have to like someones music to like them as a person.

Anyone who jumps right to the conclusion that he's doing this event for personal gain or other ulterior motives doesn't know much about Curtis James Jackson III.

I for one think he's doing a good thing here, whether the people want to attend the event or not.

50 Cent has a heart and a soul with positive energy, even though his songs talk about shooting and crap. He's a nice person who shares with his community.

I've had some respect for the man ever since he did a video with his baby son some what, 5-6 years ago? Kudos for him doing anything positive.
