I look at it as a guy like me . . . from the hood who comes out of it and becomes HUMAN. So I appreciate this tremendously, I am proud of the brother, it is a great story. And one who wasn’t in the lifestyle like 50 cent was can’t understand or appreciate it.

Looking at the glass half full this is a gesture of love if it is sincere, and I don’t see that a millionaire like 50 cent needs publicity

Star for you for appreciating someones hard work and dedication in the Industry! Some people like frozenspark or whatever his name can't seem to acknowledge the fact that 50 is a talented individual and a go-getter. He worked HARD to get where he was.

50 was shot like 9 times and didn't cry. Let's see frozenspark get shot once and cry for his mommy.

Actually I agree with you. Mr. Cent has actually done a lot for charity. Just seems like a strange idea to have someone who wraps (raps I'll be good) about violence performing for the victims of violence. I don't think he's doing it for publicity because frankly no one cares about Norway.

wow..it literally blows my mind how fast some of the ATS members are to put any thread under a negative light. ENOUGH NEGATIVITY. Sometimes things ARE what they seem..sometimes people just like to do good believe it or not. grow up, all of the people spreading negativity and hate are enemies to this site and enemies to culture.

Learn how to use a filter. I know its easy for some of you to get wrapped up in the conspiracy, especially when its a new discovery and the flood gates (of information) seem to open.. but BE RECEPTIVE, but please just have your own experience with the information on this site, take it all with a grain of salt... the more time you spend reading the easier it gets to discern the BS from the gems of truth hidden througout the sea of information. dont get me wrong, there is a lot of powerful information on the internet. weaving through 95% disinfo/misinfo is the hard part. who determines whats good and bad information? i suppose sources.

I have been nothing but positive in this thread about 50 Cent. The ones who can't appreciate what 50 is doing are the ones being negative and aren't open to hear and look at the facts about what 50 has done as an individual in the past years to help the communities around the world.

Yes, lets keep people from expressing their views. We all need to be happy all the time! Everything is what it seems and famous people would never use a tragedy for self promotion.

I don't actually thing the fella is using this for self promotion, but I certainly understand why others would and come here to hear others opinions.

I haven't done nothing but call you out for being close-minded and antagonizing others for stating the facts about what 50 Cent has done for the world.

He may be rapping about the gangsta lifestyle but MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ENJOY IT including me, even though I'm not into the gangsta lifestyle. That just shows that I AM OPEN MINDED about it and you ARE NOT.

Case Closed.

didnt 50 pence get his fame largely due to promoting gun crime to suburban white kids?
anyway i think its a pretty poor taste attemp at publicity.

Sorry, I don't get down on my knees and extol artists just because they do a well publicized "charity" events. All it really is is a publicity stunt to keep your name relevant in the rapidly turning world of media. This is not even cynicism, it's realism.

I thought he was shot more times than that but will admit I don't know the history well. I also thought his cavalier lifestyle was probably WHY he ended up getting shot. Running around rapping/selling drugs is a little different than what happened in Norway.

Now Spark, look, between you and me in this thread, I've gotten more stars then you total in here so that should tell you that more people agree with me, being open-minded about the whole thing, than they agree with you, being close-minded and negative about 50 Cent.

I think it's time you change your views on some things because negativity gets you absolutely nowhere...

You really have no idea what the man's intentions are. It is certainly possible this is a publicity stunt but we can't run around 100% positive that he isn't just trying to do something nice. Maybe the tragedy spoke to him on a personal level, and he's trying to spread more awareness here (US) since no one seemed to even care.

Somethings you need to understand..

I have no problem with people who enjoy 50 and I really don't give a hoot about who you enjoy. No one asked you. This is not about enjoying 50, it's about doing charity events for publicity. Stop going off tangents and changing the topic of conversation to get an upper hand in this non-existent argument.

Second of all, go back to the first page and carefully read it. See who started antagonizing others first.

EDIT: are you serious, what do these stars even imply? Are you 9 years old.. counting starts, wow.

Honestly, in my opinion, f#@% 50. Those first few hours of the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, he tweeted some pretty heartless comments/jokes about japanese people as they were suffering through that. Since that day, I have lost all respect for him which I should've never had in the first place. Who the hell is he? What has he done positive besides throw a few dollars to charity, which only benefits his image, doesnt make him a good person to me, especially after those comments

Well then you might as well HATE ON EVERY OTHER ARTIST IN THE WORLD....Every artist does things like this to quote-unquote "keep your name relevant".

You just made yourself look a little...I'm not gonna call you any names.

I really hate this kind of thinking. It leads to only respecting people who have more stars than posts etc. Also, thread is young.

I still agree with you for the most part, but I hope you change your mind about judging posts based on the stars they get.
