Would calculating pi to this many digits be some evolutionary advantage...I think not.
But "Evolution / Science" folks pretty much ignore stories / people like this because it doesn't fit into their model.

That's the point though.. with the Wrights you have something that should easily be proven.. it was witnessed. This ancient civilization stuff can't be as easily proven.. a layperson can't see it and go "duh" of course.. it's real. This stuff requires technological knowledge.. and coincidentally all of science is controlled AND people have been dumbed down about science over the years and convinced nothing of value is really attainable and that wild claims are ridiculous... I visited Egypt solo for 2 weeks in 2006. Cairo museum, Giza pyramids, Saqqara pyramid, Red pyramid, Luxor monuments / Valley of Kings, Abydos / Dendera (Temple of Hathor), Philae (Skipped Abu Simbel), Temple of Edfu..then up to the Sinai - Sharm el Sheikh, Dahab and crossing to Israel at Taba. That's my Egypt travel background. Pretty thorough for 2 weeks me thinks. Only missing a few notable places - which documentaries and internet have helped to fill in.

This was near the tail end of a several month journey around all countries of Scandinavia (save Iceland), numerous countries in Eastern Europe (Including a visit to the Bosnian Pyramids) & central / southern Italy. So I was in the exploring mindset.

Some other places noted in RoP have been to recently in the last 5 years or so.

Never gave much thought to the pyramids not being built by the Egyptians before...kind of just accepted the "party line of convention" though I have watched my fair share of Egypt documentaries.And visited plenty of other pyramids in Central / South America and beyond.

Already accept ET creation, UFOs in past & present, crop circles...so many well done documentaries....lots of things I don't accept per se -- cuz I don't BeLIEve...but anytime I see a string of "coincidences" -- this implies something either at the well planned hands of man or something else. An ancient civilization encoding information...I don't buy that...mainly because I don't see them having the technology, and most importantly no motive. But ETs encoding certain information to teach us something...that I accept.

As for "alternative" uses - as noted by earlier posters...I don't know anything about those ideas .. never thought about it per se.

one more thing...if one learns the art of FACE READING...one will see that Zahi Hawass -- is a very PROUD man...look at his NOSE. Translation -- "blind" about certain things due to arrogance (Which is implied by too much pride). Funny how he was recently ousted last year -- the eve of 2012. I haven't face read other influential Egyptologists of the past 100 years...but if Zahi is any indication....the "trail of evidence" has not been thoroughly investigated. More kindly put -- a FAILURE of IMAGINATION.

Actually it was not it was defined as one ten-millionth of the distance from the Earth's equator to the North Pole. The ancient did use a meter as a method of measurement

The Latitude is 29.58.45.28 these numbers are not in base 10

The speed of light is 299,792,458, this number is in base 10

Now 29 is a number based on 360 based number but lets leave that for a moment

The second number '58' is minutes of arc, expressed in base 60, so if that converted to based ten it equals .96666

So you now have 2996.... so it fails at the first conversion - and no you don't round up....

I don't know.. but I doubt any of them is the oldest most incredible structure that we know of existing.

And it is in the dead center of the grand gallery.

I had determined myself that the Grand Gallery was a super particle accelerator that created cosmic rays to penetrate the stone at the end of the gallery.. these cosmic rays went through the limestone and hit the granite slabs above I am convinced.. and resonated the quartz granite creating an electrogravitic effect..

Then I learned of this light speed latitude factoid afterwards!

What are the odds of that?!!
