All I can say is "Michael Mattiazzo" is just another amateur astronomer. What makes his findings more significant?

Nothing is ever solid, when it comes to Elenin. You can label it insignificant, than why is NASA and the likes so desperate to diffuse mere conspiracies surrounding this not so significant 'ice ball'...Makes you wonder doesn't it.

Why are you desperately trying to keep a fantasy/wishful thinking up?

Still strange to me for some reason.

Because it's slowing down. I just realised it seems to slow down completely. Would that cause a decrease in magnitude?

The appearance of it slowing down could be caused by some sort of retrograde motion I guess.

Symbolism is an arbitrary false collection of unrelated numbers and whatnot compiled in hindsight to deceive. Name one prediction symbolism foretold.

It is good observations according to Micheal, but it just that, observations. There is no real proof as to whether the coma has decreased in size?

If only we could find some sort of confirmation, to prove his observations. Other than that there is a difference between an "observation", and a scientific "fact", for those who have agreed that it has in fact decreased in size.

Because, cleary, this was the only threat to our civilization, right?
- not 168x the normal level of radiation, leaking from Fukishima
- not an unsustainable debtors economy
- not World War III brought about by accident or on purpose due to nuclear detonation
- not the inevitable food & water shortage that is around the corner
- not the unrbelievable but very real climate change that is painstakinly evident
- not dangerous solar activity like CME or solar flares (coupled with iono-/manetosphere changes)
- not earthquakes that seem to be picking up in frequency, magnitude, and weird locations.

Since before Y2K its been a doomsday prophecy one after the other. with even mass media doing story's of Nostradamus and what not. Its all smoke and mirrors.

They're basing the theory on previous observations of comets disintegrating.

Time will tell if this is correct this time or not.

Also it seems other astronomers are starting to agree too...

No one is asking you to take it seriously. But you might want to think about the implications of an impact event.
What happens to communities, economies. When do people/businesses begin to move out of the impact zone, or areas affected.

Money makes the world go around. Would you lend money to someone if you knew they may not be in a position to pay it back for while, or if you knew they would inevitably default?

As crazy as things may appear on the surface, once you start using your grey matter, you will see things in a whole different light.
