That may be so, but your original premise for debunking this was false, and I was calling you out on it.

Now off to do some research into words . . .

And, yet, there's still no word "Enin" in Hebrew, let alone one that means "hammer". Unless, of course, you want to dredge it up from the depth of ancient Hebrew, in which case we can make it mean most anything.

Elenin is the Russian name of a Russian astronomer who discovered a comet, which was then named after him. What his name means, in Russian, I have no idea. But it doesn't matter. Because it`s just a name. And Elenin is just a comet.

Hammer of God

Check my last post above. The definition of La`anah is what we are looking for as the close Hebrew match.

Rev. 8

10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

How is that? My original premise for debunking this was that "Enin" has no corresponding Hebrew word. That hasn't changed. How does the suffix/prefix thing make any difference at all?

Wormwood in Russian is Chernobyl as I understand it ?

That's a misuse of the Revelation prophecy. And it was not the premise of the OP.

You said . . .

First of all, if that were the case, the name would be Eninel. The "-el" comes at the end of the word.

I was correcting the error you made in your opening sentence of this thread.

Now run along.

Edit: פטיש is the word used for hammer. I am at a loss how they get enin from that.

Ya! I wouldn't say it's all that much of a miss use Prime. As the thread is about an object hammering the earth.
But I see why you would say that at the same time. I wonder if there is any possible correspondance between the two. I would hate to have to wait and see.

"Wormwood" in Russian is полынь горькая - polyn' gor'kaya.
"Bitterness" is горечь - gorech'

Chernobyl is apparently the Ukranian word for mugwart, which is a species of wormwood.

That was a "first of all"...it wasn't my main point. Or does the inaccuracy of a single statement suddenly discount the fact that Enin is not a Hebrew word? Which you just confirmed?
Or do you want the credit for being the first to say that Enin is not a Hebrew word? Because I will give you the credit if you want it.

That's not what I meant. The use of that prophecy is out of context...it can't be applied to a comet, let alone one in 2011.

Perhaps, but when we are talking about a comet falling from the sky as God's hammer and Revelation 8 uses a word that sounds nearly the same as Elenin (La' anah) meaning wormwood, I see a connection. Maybe it's just me, but they sound similar. Linguistics are interconnected across many languages. We have Welch and Hebrew connecting to Russian. This is no surprise really. Just interesting.

In Jewish gematria, Elenin is 119. 911 in reverse. Even more interesting.

Well..."wormwood" in Revelation 8:11 is in Greek - apsinthos. Considering other uses of Hebrew words in Revelation where their meaning is significant (Abaddon, Har-Megiddon), I would think that such would have been the case here had the Hebrew been of any importance.

But, so long as we're doing 600 degrees of separation...

I agree to that, as I said, I can see why you would say that. It is out of context. Wheather or not it pertains to 2011 or not I'm positive your obvious authority relents a bit before that. Not to patronise you, I'm not trying to be a smartass with you in any way. You seem to possess a very well read knowledge, that I mean only to recognise.

Peace Brother.:

Weren't you the one who claimed that Elenin was a member of the Illuminati based om numbers?

I'd say you have an Elenin fetish.

What will your next groundbreaking Elenin thread be?

Elenin has 6 letters in it. Mark of the Beast?

Clucker I really want to chastise you for that. This topic, is in no way about anything, you have any knowlege of, in which you can ridicule this thread about. I mean common, I respect the hell out of you in your astronimical details, but you have about as much authority over coinquidink as anyone else friend. You need to lighten up
at least a bit, if not now then right now.

I've heard about this before... yes, "SuperiorEd" is right about enin being a welsh name for hammer. Also, the first part, el, means in welsh "greatly, much" and some have even translated it as mighty hammer.

Interesting to note here, the welsh name "eleri" means "greatly bitter" source: www.family-crests.com...
