So, according to your theory, if "The Blair Witch Project" hadn't had deceptive advertising, it never would've made it to the theaters unless a larger company bought it and produced it because it was low budget?
You are comparing apples to oranges.

You are comparing apples to oranges.
And so are you.
You can't compare a movie with a TV show based upon archeology.
I was at least comparing two low budget movies.

The very first thing the movie does is discredit the Bible and make G_d sound as though he/it is more than one being.
I would bet that if Ancient Aliens began each of its episodes by countering the Bible's teachings, it would not have gone as far as it has. Plus, I don't see ads for Ancient Aliens on local channels. This movie would've had its ads on local channels, which would have reached more viewers. Anyone who saw the ads would have been struck with curiosity as to why this movie was countering the teachings of the Bible. Most main stream religions want people to believe that ONE god created everything, including us. "How is it that humans could've been created in the image of more than one being?" they would ask.
TPTB like us to be confused, but not to this extent.
I see I wasn't clear. What I wanted to say is the Vatican surely wouldn't bother with a movie that looked like it had none of the ingredients to make it noticeable, a film in which they show only 11 names (and one of those appears as actress and as crew) is most likely to be a flop, and I don't think that either the Vatican or any other organisation will go to the trouble of shutting down all things that may be interpreted in a way they don't like.

It's not about the actors that have anything to do with the Vatican's involvement.
I watched it, today and when it appeared, some years ago.
It has to do with the fact that the movie is based upon the one quote from the Bible that makes G_d seem as though he's got DID or MPD. Please watch the ABOUT THE MOVIE part I directed to above. I'm sure this would've been shown on TV and in the previews in theaters.
What has the Vatican said all these hundreds or years, as far as I understand it, the Bible does say that, so what's the problem?
The Vatican would not have wanted the majority of the public being pointed towards the Bible verse and wondering why G_d spoke about himself as though he is more than one being. What would the Pope have said? He meant that we were created in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? How else would they have explained the use of the word "our" in Biblical text?

Some of the best movies have had a cast of unknowns. When I saw Shaun of the Dead, I didn't recognize any of the actors.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I just wanted to know why do you say that the Vatican would object to something that is written on the Bible to the point of intervening to suppress a movie.

Anyways, it's my opinion that the movie was bounced because of its reference to the Bible and G_d's multiple personality disorder. Nobody here is going to change my mind.
I don't think anyone is saying that the movie sunk because of the unknown cast, the unknown cast makes it less of a target to the any hypothetical large organisation trying to suppress that type of information.
All of you can believe that it was sunk because of its unknown cast and/or no funding. That's your opinion and I'll respect that.
Thanks, the same to you.
Have a great evening, everyone.

I can't see any reason for the movie being suppressed. It's based on information that's already in wide circulation and available to everyone. Why would a low budget movie, which would reach an even smaller number of people than the books it's based on, get swept under the carpet.. Can't see anything suspect about it.
Thanks for sharing though.
Yes, information about the Anunnaki is in wide circulation, through Zecharia Sitchin Books, documentaries and lately it's been largely discussed on History Channel's Ancient Aliens, BUT do you have any idea of the power that a movie trilogy, even a low-budget one, truly faithful to Sumerian scriptures and Sitchin's researches, could have in the subconscious of people all over the world??? Judging by the 3D rendering of that winged-disk spaceship in the launch pad, Jon Gress must have stuck to the core of Zecharia Sitchin books. If he obtained the same high quality rendering the Anunnaki aliens arriving on Earth, building the ED.IN colony, making genetic experiments with apes, mining gold, raising Sumeria, Babylon, Egypt, interacting with humans as gods and stuff like that, these movies would punch the mind of people and trigger a mass awakening. Can you figure out how much the collective memories of mankind would be affected by seeing 3D rendering of ENLIL, ENKI, MARDUK and all those beings reported by the Sumerians, in such movie???
I really doubt that TPTB want this happening!! Mass awakening?? Fall of fake religions and fake gods?? Disclosure of how mankind was created by extraterrestrials??? TPTB have all reasons to prevent these movies of being released!
