Please tell me how the actors in the movie in any way relate to the subject of this discussion? Since this was an indie film, did you really expect Jon Gress to hire on Tom Cruise or Will Smith to work on the movie? Just because the actors are unknown doesn't make them bad, nor does it mean the movie is a hoax.

The site was probably shut down because of lack of payment, like most.

I remember hearing about the movie years ago... and it's been discussed on here several times.
I honestly don't think It's being suppressed, TPTB, Hollywood.... whoever, have no problem with rubbing people's noses in stuff, hiding or banning it would only arouse suspicion.

I just think they didn't have enough money and not enough people even know about The Annunaki to be able to draw in the crowds.

I'm sure the film would have sucked and been awful but would have been interesting to at least see it.

This movie is/was of extreme interest to me as an inspiring media producer and conspiracy nut. movies have been made about 2012, so I don't know if the government would have any say in this one's production. It sadly probably didn't get enough investments. It's way cheaper to produce a documentary about these things than a full length hollywood blockbuster. One of the only movies close enough to the conspiracy theory is Indiana Jones 4. I liked the plot on that one, with the crystal skulls and if Indie is attached to the name of a film, its going to get the money!

I would love to create a movie based on this plot tho.

nothing will probably get started for two years after i graduate and create my production studio.

But I have a number of movie ideas on the table relating to the paranormal and conspiracy theories. Anybody know of a good movie--not documentary about Rosswell?? I haven't heard of one lolz.

The actors who were casted are known in the short film circuit and for tv appearances. If you are marketing a movie, you know where the movie stands. Gress marketed the film (before production) as if it was going to be a blockbuster. It seems to me this was to either attract investors for the project or new students to the production school.

The project never had a hope in hell to getting off the ground, so I don't know if you can classify it as a hoax, but certainly it can be classified as crap....

It ended up in its pre-determined destination, the scrap heap.

I seem to recall there actually was a movie made in the 90's about the Roswell Incident. Dramaticized, so to speak. Also, there's an episode of Roswell (the TV-series) dealing with it. Both were pretty good if I recall right, though it was about four years since I saw the movie and more than I'd ever care to count since I saw the TV series.

I think I saw one ep of Roswell and couldn't get into it for w/e reason. But those types of shows and movies really impress me and really have cool plots. Another good movie is The Man From Earth its my all time favorite movie. NO CGI!!!!

Thanks to the poster who located the website in the web archive. I have to agree that the site is very well done!

After seeing this: web.archive.org...://www.1anunnaki.com/about.htm

I have a sneaking suspicion that the movie was shut down by the Vatican or other religious organization. Especially how it begins with the phrase Jordan Maxwell always quotes in regards to how the Bible says "make man in OUR image." I'm sure that this alone wouldn't be appreciated by most religious zealots or the powerful Vatican. They certainly wouldn't want people to question why the Bible contains the word OUR when one God would say MY.

Also, I noticed how the 1Annunaki title resembles double columns, which is a masonic symbol.

In my opinion, this movie was shut down for more reasons than just financial fall out. Either that or the people who were going to fund the movie were threatened by certain certain people and withdrew their contributions and this is what caused the film production to cease.

But, just my two cents. Take it for what you will.

Op, thanks for bringing this up though. Quite fascinating movie surrounded by mystery.

It also makes you wonder how movies about say, JFK and Zeitgeist get made. Those are controversial topics as well.

Looking at the "behind the scenes" photos and seeing at most a dozen persons presented as "lead cast and crew", it makes me think that the Vatican didn't had to worry about this movie.

Oh thank you so much for bringing this up. I completely forgot about this until now. I was one of those waiting with exitement for this movie to be released. I don't know how I could have forgotten about it I used to go back to the site to see if there were any updates too and fro. I guess life got in the way and I forgot. Now I'm upset that movie never came out
(

I sooo wanted to see this!
to you for reembering about it and bringing out what sees like a quite intriguing mystery.

I can't see any reason for the movie being suppressed. It's based on information that's already in wide circulation and available to everyone. Why would a low budget movie, which would reach an even smaller number of people than the books it's based on, get swept under the carpet.. Can't see anything suspect about it.

Thanks for sharing though.

Yes, information about the Anunnaki is in wide circulation, through Zecharia Sitchin Books, documentaries and lately it's been largely discussed on History Channel's Ancient Aliens, BUT do you have any idea of the power that a movie trilogy, even a low-budget one, truly faithful to Sumerian scriptures and Sitchin's researches, could have in the subconscious of people all over the world??? Judging by the 3D rendering of that winged-disk spaceship in the launch pad, Jon Gress must have stuck to the core of Zecharia Sitchin books. If he obtained the same high quality rendering the Anunnaki aliens arriving on Earth, building the ED.IN colony, making genetic experiments with apes, mining gold, raising Sumeria, Babylon, Egypt, interacting with humans as gods and stuff like that, these movies would punch the mind of people and trigger a mass awakening. Can you figure out how much the collective memories of mankind would be affected by seeing 3D rendering of ENLIL, ENKI, MARDUK and all those beings reported by the Sumerians, in such movie???

I really doubt that TPTB want this happening!! Mass awakening?? Fall of fake religions and fake gods?? Disclosure of how mankind was created by extraterrestrials??? TPTB have all reasons to prevent these movies of being released!

Your point is moot.
Some of the best movies have had a cast of unknowns. When I saw Shaun of the Dead, I didn't recognize any of the actors. I've seen movies with well known actors in it, but the storyline was dead in the water. Even great acting talent couldn't salvage the film.

In fact, since the movie's actors were unknown makes my point even more profound. It makes you wonder why the movie couldn't get funding. It's not like they'd be paying the lead stars millions of dollars.

All actors/actresses have to start somewhere. This movie looks as though it would've been a great diving board if you wanted to break into the movies and get your name known. I'll stick with my theory about religious opposition.

Hm...

What does writing "Annunaki" beneath the title of a movie based on Greek mythology and gods have anything to do with Sumerian, Akkadian Gods or whatever they are?

There is also absolutely zero evidence that the film wasn't suppressed by anyone. See how easy that was...

It's not always about money. It "could" actually be a series of different things ie. script changes, crew, actors, but mainly no track record for producers/directors.

BTW there is already a thread on this

www.abovetopsecret.com...

and movie site rockstarmotionpictures.com...
