The only real contender would be Hillary Rodham Clinton. She would have been president had the democratic party not stolen away her delegate count. And I will predict that she will go against Oobamah, but she has to decide before the first primary or caucus to do so.

She has to file the paperwork by either October or November if she wishes to challenge Obama for the nomination. So she doesn't have much time left.

The Unions are already boycotting the convention, so she already has a base of blue dogs in the wings.

If Obama's approval rating keeps falling at the rate its going, there will be no point in him even running. If the Democrats want a real chance of winning the election, she looks like she could be the only plausible option.

Yes I was serious I didn't vote in the republican poll because Im not republican, I didn't vote out of respect, I also did not post a bunch of jokes and posts in that thread. Im not a liberal, Im not racist, I like to think Im a good person, but Im tired of members here making me feel like Im not a good person because I don't agree with them.

I did not vote in the Republican poll as well -- out of respect because I want THEM to have an unbiased look at what Republican voting people would choose.

I do not RESPECT what they seem to consider their platform -- but I do respect their right to make decisions and be wrong.

I predict there will be NO challenge from the Left -- they are still in "Status Quo Mode" -- that being Republican Light. Being slightly to the middle of Republicans gathers them NO respect from the Right -- as they will always be called "Liberal Extremists" regardless of position. Liberal is "whatever we don't like" from Republicans -- it is inconsistent and meaningless.

And since Obama has done NOTHING for Unions, nor does he respect Liberal or Progressive principles where it counts -- he will continue to get lower approval ratings -- lower than Bush, even though his sins are mere echos of Bush's.

>> However, when it comes to November, everyone will look up and look at a wacko, a gordon gecko, or something worse and decide that Obama is the lesser of the evils.

Obama will get another term, but support will be waning. The ONLY people happy with government seems to be extremists on the right -- and they aren't happy people.

Pretty sure Al Sharpton was in there as a joke...right?

No. He has previously run for President on the Democratic side of the coin.

Sure, toss that in our face...fine...we are sorry!

Actually, would be interesting to have someone like Bill Gates have a go...get a corporatist liberal. best of both worlds?

What Gates acts like a conservative !

how about Steve Jobs!! LOL

I picked Dennis Kucinich but am subject to change my mind. I hope he can produce the goods he claims. We have heard this song and seen this dance before so I am not sure what to think.I am at the point where I really dont care to give my trust to anyone to run my life VIA the president and just about want to not vote. But I am an American and I will have my say in who cuts my life to pieces at least.lol...not that funny. So on another off topic what you think Bachman is about? Is she fake?some of her ideas I like but she runs in circles and has bad choice of words. Totally confussed!!!!!!

Jobs would be great actually...but if we do that, Gates will become emperor of China and rip off all of Job's ideas (again).

Gates social idealism is liberal technocracy...not sure about his fiscal outlook. But he is seriously giving in charitys...people can slam him for a bunch of things he does in the name of his corporation, but his personal decisions are clearly to progress foreign lands, and try to implement some pretty neat aid programs overall...he doesn't have to do that, he simply does because its how he wants the world to be...(now time for a tin foiler to talk about his desire to kill people because he discussed overpopulation in areas as a bad thing. heh)
