We should duke it out with science. I provide references that say contrails should persist, and have always persisted.

You provide some references that say they should not.

I mean, you must have some reason for disbelieving what is written in decades old science books?

Here's a spreading contrail in 1921, explain why you don't think it's a contrail:

But all of recorded history seems to disagree with you. Also the member of ATS, when asked, mostly remembered contrails just like what you call chemtrails. So may there's another reason why you did not see them or remember them?

You must admit, at least, that the evidence seems to indicate that contrails HAVE always persisted.

I posted it mostly for the science in it. Read the article on Frost Supersaturation (now called Ice Supersaturation). It explains why contrails form and persist. It's simple science.

Do you personally believe that contrails don't persist and spread?

Can you say why?

Here is a link to a scientific paper published in 1972 in which contrails are reported to last for hours and spread out to form cirrus-like cloud formations:

Measurements of the Growth of the Ice Budget in a Persisting Contrail

Here is an excerpt:

... If sufficient air carrier traffic exists, an entire overcast of contrail cirrus may develop and persist for hours with rapid growth in ice budget in individual contrails...

I don't have that one in physical form - there's every indication that it's real though. But here's a physical book from 1963 saying contrails last for several hours:



And here's someone else who collected several old books showing persisting spreading contrails:

And they were on the sky for few days then they disappeared.

Those look like clouds. They had the same clouds in 1905

I'm not denying the existence of Contails man.

And the persistence of them "rarely" occurs.

Interesting that the study you linked was done in 1971 and funded by NASA. And 4 years later the patent for a "Powder Contrail Generator" was invented.


Can you not see that they wanted to study contrails for a purpose? They wanted to (and now can) be able to produce Contrails no matter what the conditions.

It is so obvious to me that is what they are doing. I have seen them produce "contrails" (chemtrails) in any season during any condition.

Now..... do they add certain chemicals to these at this point in time. Maybe. I have no proof for that.

Why do you put "rarely" in quotes? Are you quoting someone?

The Encyclopedia says "sometimes", the book in the video says "often", other books say "sometimes/other times", Airborne Observations of Contrail Effects on the Thermal Radiation Budget, 1972 says "a familiar sight. Often", The Arcadia Tribune in 1970 says "frequently".

So where do you get this "rarely"? And how frequently is "rarely"? Once a week? Once a month?

...I mean, did they say the spraying for insect control? Do you live near a farm where they were spraying fertilizer? I assume it was from the air. If so, could they have said is was for mosquito control/West Nile virus?

Spraying for insect control is usually done far far below cloud level. Pesticide spraying is usually done at 500 feet or less, and is often done at night to minimize contact with the public

I mean, there are a lot of valid reasons to spray. If you don't know anything beyond someone said they would be spraying, then, frankly, your account is rather meaningless.
