Various comments on youtube seem to indicate its a version of Pileus cloud.

From the wikipedia entry...

Pilei tend to change shape rapidly.

Some people with meteorological backgrounds dont seem to have surprising anything to say except versions of "congratulations on capturing a good one."

WOW

That is one of THE coolest things I've ever seen. In both video you can see the the cloud moving as well as light moving around in it. Its almost like somthing is causing the vapor in the air (not yet in full viible cloud form) to move around and compress then disperse. Maybe our gov has some cloaked aircraft and its using some type of compression wave propolsion.

dunno but very interesting. will definetly be following this one.

Given as we currently have no clear idea as to what the video's are showing I think all options are on the table mate

Remember how the Israelites were led across the Sinai by a pillar of cloud during the day?

There's your malleable pillar of cloud - my guess is alien craft, not that this couldn't be digitally manipulated, but there have been reports of this kind of thing throughout history. You can even see where the ship shoots off to the left at the end of the OP video.

Yerp S&F, nice capture. Never seen this b4, definitely doesnt look natural to me, looks like something is playing funny buggers with the clouds, human or spirits/interdimensional(I put aliens in this category as well) I dont know.

I think the video was shot from underneath some transparent surface, a glass table or a pair of sunglasses for example, and the effect is produced by a drop of water being blown about.

Be interesting to know whether the film is shown in real time, or has been speeded up. That will make a massive difference. Not knowing this makes any interpretation very limited.

I've watched the OP video several times now, it's mesmerizing!

Never seen anything like that before, but the more I watch it the more it seems something's moving between the clouds and disrupting them, mainly by expelling them outwards and forming a small cloud ring.

Whatever it is, it's fascinating. Nice post

I was pool side in my apartment in Singapore, when I saw something weird in the skies. As I looked over head I saw some weird cloud shoots of light and puff as the clouds seemed to reform sporadically. I could see that a storm cloud was building, but the light and visual show was intriguing me. So I grabbed my iPhone and recorded this

OK, two things:

One, if you click on the YouTube video you can adjust the resolution up to 1080p and watch it full screen. When you do this, the light reflections do not appear to be up at cloud level, but look a lot closer to the camera. If you watch closely it appears the light movement is overlapping the clouds (IE, the clouds are in the distance and the light pattern is well in front of them).

Two, I am not aware of an iPhone that can record video in 1080p. 720p is as high as it goes, so the fact that this video is in 1080p while he claims it was shot using his iPhone is suspicious.

The iPhone 4 may've recorded it in 720p but the OP could've edited and exported it as 1080p, I don't think there's any need to be that suspicious about this

I don't think it's any sort of reflection either, looking closely the clouds are definitely being affected. It seems to be something physical and not any sort of optical illusion.

It's the clouds in the sky moving around and the sun's rays bending around the clouds as they move, the camera in the iPhone is exaggerating the suns rays with the reflections on the lens, making it appear out of the ordinary. Question everything, think of a logical answer.

I agree with your comments on seeing the three lights at the beginning of the video. The edge of the cloud seems to move up towards the three lights and then the lights move to the left behind the cloud. It sure looks like the reflective light is coming from above (and behind) the cloud and shining down through the cloud. The light looks sporatic, almost like moving a mirror quickly and then to an abrupt stop. What moves in nature like this? Just sayin?

I think it's the reflection off the glass that you're filming through. It's probably something in your close proximity. Maybe a waves in a pool or something?

Both videos are awesome and it would be great if some craft of alien origin was responsible for the events, however it seems like Sprite Lightning is the one responsible.

According to wikipedia:

Sprites are large-scale electrical discharges that occur high above thunderstorm clouds, or cumulonimbus, giving rise to a quite varied range of visual shapes flickering in the night sky.

Fulll Wikipedia Entry

Mmmm.... or not?!! Have not seen any other picture of sprite lightning during the day...
