All of your arguments are against religion...none of them are against the existence of "god". If you can not see that clearly...then it just shows how confused you are.

If I inaccurately describe a computer to you and make all kinds of contradictions while doing so...does that mean that the computer doesn't exist???

But that’s not what’s happening

what we see are clams of not only is there is a computer but that it is know what the computer wants and what the computer usually wants is power money and sex for the computers representatives

now people re-examining the original clams about the computer and finding that not only is the computer badly described, its most likely fictional

Are not all religions ( at least the mainstream ones) Based on God? I would also assume if we did a poll as to all the religious folks in all faiths " Is god the basis for your bible"? The overwhelming reply would be yes he is.

Excuse me for the sarcasism of earlier, I am new ( which is no excuse). Let me try this again, from where I stand. religion & God are the same. If all bibles are based on the fact God does exist, then the religion would not exist without a god at the top.

To me, to follow the bible and beleive god is real, would be for me to suspend reality as I know it. My reefer days are long since passed. Would you agree I picked the wrong topic for my opening thread!! I think I will stay the way I am. My thoughts on this subject to myself.

Freewill. it's akicker in the arse is it not. And if god is real Outcast Searcher, my being an atheist is not my fault. It simply is Gods's plan for me..... Keep it Glocked&Loaded Thanks for the banter.

Please give me a detailed and logical explanation on how you go from "badly described" to "most likely fictional"???

When atheists refuse to admit that their arguments are only valid against "religion" and not "god"...it makes them look very very illogical.

Essentially, atheism is anti-christianity, under the guise of pseudoscience.

Once again, the blind lead the blind.

So in other words...you don't have an answer to my question.

It is ok to say "I don't know"...but it isn't ok to refuse to admit you don't know.

infidels.com...yes...that sounds like a credible website.

why would I want to provide you with some text when there are so many other sites that cover this material?

and I should probably point out that you are the one making the positive claim so I don't need to do anything (logic remember)

Which positive claim am I making?

I believe you made the claim in this argument...time to back it up. Remeber...you went beyond the claim of atheism which is "atheists don't believe god exist" and you went a step further to say "god is fictional".

You gotta be careful about those claims...logic....remember???

Based on the text I started with the only evidence I would need to bring is for crimes done by the various religious establishment around the world or for the growth in the numbers of atheists

And I think anything else you seem to want to pursue would take this thread of topic – however there are many threads here dealing with gods existence or other wise, maybe you should try on one of those

Rhetoric still doesn't count as philosophy. Furthermore, if you want to get technical, I've never heard of any christians or jews flying planes into buildings; nor have i heard of anything similar from buddhists, hindus, pagans, or taoists.

Now I ask you: Does religion fly you into buildings? Nope. Individuals fly planes into buildings. Claim refuted.

Welcome to the logic cafe. Pull up a seat and stay a while.

Like I said...it's ok to admit you don't know.

It must be hard to live a life where you feel like you must always know...even when your arguments are completely illogical and off base.

You should really watch what claims you make...and not just try to fall back on the "oh the burden of proof is not on me" line. The burden of proof is only not on you when you refrain from making claims...which you have failed to do.

You said

I think you will find atheist dismisses all religions claims equally, and it also looks like you can remember all the other world religions when prompted

but i will play
ok in what way is atheism = anti-christianity?

Every atheist site I've seen presented on this site or by one of my friends has been to prove the statement "Christian god does not exist." I've never seen one that has said "there is no higher power" without mention of the bible, jesus, or the christian religion.

Take this one for example:

If you look closely, there's even a cute little cross in the tab that opens up. All 50 points summed up into one: "Christian god cannot possibly exist, not because we have proof, but simply because we said so."

Yes, please prove how it is "most likely fictional".

And please be aware you are not stating this as your belief...you are stating IT IS...so you are stating it as fact...which requires proof.
