Is atheism why you get up in the morning? Didn't think so...sounds like you're reflecting
Why do you feel compelled to bash believers?

But what if you need saving the most?

And what if they are under specific orders by their deity not to let your spirit perish?

Just teasing. Sort of, but I none the less tend to agree with you. At this point in human history people should work on saving themselves and the rest will follow if they want or if they will. You can't drag the unwilling and when you get them there you cannot make them drink. People are more stubborn than even those proverbial horses. People are jackasses but even jackasses are not exclusive to any one ideology or group.

What is religious people's obsession with gold..and peals..that seems so petty..Muslims and virgins...that's creepy..greed and sex..and they want to be the moral leaders?

I hope we can all agree that killing is bad, so let me ask ya this, throughout history, who has killed more religious zealots going to war in the name of their god, or your average bad guy murdering for the fun of it and world leaders causing war?

A parent does not give birth to their children then have a complete hands off approach except for a rule book their entire lives then punish them at the end of their lives for making mistakes. No, a parent is there every day, showing them the way, giving a nudge here, a little advice there.

Brilliant analogy, I hadn't thought of. I'm adding that to my quote book.

Why do you feel compelled to convert people to your doctrine? Who is to say for certain which view is right? You missed the meaning of my original post. Stop trying to convert me, let me be. If I'm wrong and there is a god then when I die its between him and I.

I don't care what you believe...that's your choice.

Let get real though for a second...

Vocal believers are a dying breed - Nobody has approached me to talk to me about God or Jesus or Mohamed or any of those beliefs in years.

This post is kind of like that old lady down the street who keeps calling the HOA because the trashcan is still on the curb the day after the trash came...its a total non-issue and the only one that cares is her

People don't have to believe what you believe and ridiculing and deriding them because they believe in a different belief system than you is exactly what you're accusing believers of doing.

What do you actually believe in? Anything? or Nothing? because you obviously have a problem with what I believe in..

Like I said - I don't care what you believe in - very few christians are that way any more - many are "live and let live" types who believe that their personal choices are exactly that...a personal choice..

So I'm not sure where the hate's coming from

Unless you just never want to hear a theory to life other than whats in your head

That would be about as closed minded and hypocritical as it gets if that's the case...

Again, you missed my point. Its only when people start pushing their views on me when I "ridicule and deride" them as you say. I don't go around pushing my views onto people. Hate? I don't hate anybody. You say you don't care what I believe in then you ask me what I believe in? I've said what I believe in, treating people good. My own counsel will I keep on what is right and wrong, and I don't need a god or a book telling me what my morals should be.

"pics or it didn't happen"

I think the best thing you can do is ask them for evidence that isn't based on feelings or faith.

Ask them to use logic and they either attempt the same old theological arguments that have been refuted from hear to Timbuktu or they stare with this dumbfounded look on there face. "Huh, logic? Is that some of that fancy book learnin stuff?"

STOP PUSHING YOUR Religion on me

every nature show, magazine, and newspaper, pipes the religion of evolution as though it were fact.

With no testable, repeatable proof, only conjecture, speculation and hopeful thinking.

All evolutionary statements use faith based language like we believe, we think, it may have, it could have,
all faith based language.

Ummm when did I mention anything about evolution? And when did I push my views on you? Yet another person who COMPLETELY missed my original point.. I keep my views to myself UNTIL people start pushing their views on me, then I tell them my views and what I think of their views. Not once have I ever walked up to anyone from any religious denomination and told them what I think of their faith. This is the rant forum, I ranted about something that people feel they need to push down my gullet.

The tactic used now is to get them while they're young.

Soon, everyone will be apart of a religion.

It's only a matter of time.

I mean, you can convince a child Santa exists, right? Obviously he's not mature enough to think logically.

I say, put into law that you cannot teach religion to a child until the age they realize Santa doesn't exist.

Pisses me off to know end how brainwasher's use this tactic.

It's supposed to be a personal choice, not some sh*t programmed into people from birth.

I don't care which book you have, or what it say's. It's just plain wrong.

Sorry, can't get behind this train of thought. I don't advocate violence. Just because some religions have and still use violence to enforce their my god is better then your god mentality, doesn't mean anyone not agreeing with their views should run around committing random acts of violence against churches. Sorry sir/ma'am, not with ya on this one....
