They are animals..

Yes and animals have hidden under things in the past, their owners have done the same and managed to survive earthquakes and tornadoes so don't be so quick to dismiss just because they're animals. People are animals too remember.

You have clearly never had an animal love you or something!
Animals are sensitive creatures and we know our friends well!
I can say the way my usually stoic, calm cat has been acting has never happened before! She had an urgency in her meow (not a meow-er either) and she just about climbed into the shower with me! It was beyond alarming...and there are now multiple pages of posts from other pet owners here reporting similar odd behaviors!

The other day I had e-mailed a friend that I thought some of the animals in my yard where acting weird. For example, a marsh rabbit (wild) trying to hide in the grill. I saw him in the middle of the day getting up under the grill as if trying to hide. I thought that was strange. My own pet bird was acting very scared the last couple of nights, not wanting to go to "bed" as usual. Tense and scared. I have had this bird for over 20 years and I know how to read fear. Something is not right, that's for sure. Are the animals trying to tell us something or are we being hypersensitive because of the events going on around the world? Maybe, we just expect something to happen. I live in South Florida, by the way.

Thank you stealthykat for taking the time to report.

How are the animals right now?
Mine are actually quite relaxed...they seemed to have settled down alright!

REALLY! Because....if you DO go outside, something will CERTAINLY chase you.... and of course, you will then have the obligatory "trip, fall and severely sprained ankle", which of course means your DOOM!
Thanks for the reminder!

I like to be the comic relief.

It's not even a full moon yet. It's maybe %96.

Where are you from? Keep us posted on any natural disasters.

Edit: Went back a page and seen your posted info. Are you on the new madrid fault?

O god, not another of these threads. These threads pop up every now and then. People's animals are always acting "weird" and people just jump on the bandwagon because they want to believe in something so they'll grasp at straws and claim anything their pet does is abnormal even tho its not. Nothing ever happens, nothing ever comes of these threads, they slowly fade away. Animals act up and bark at nothing sometimes, maybe once in a while they are perceiving something we cant hear, but the world isn't ending. This shouldn't be front page.

OH NOOOO !!!! not the Fourth Kind . i had to sleep with my light on for a solid week after watching THAT movie.

My cats have been putting their noses up in the air sniffing alot . All three of them together . I thought maybe it was the bombardment of ELFs from the solar storms .

Or else they sense DOOM approaching .

I never have thought the world was ending...not once!
Maybe that my kid was choking or the house was on fire...but not the whole world imploding or anything lol!
Not based on my cats odd behaviour.
However maybe they can sense an energy or solar flare activity.
We are all just communicating the odd behavior to each other, and I have felt like we have been pretty chill on the doom and gloom talk.
IDK...you don't have to stick around and read it, if you don't want too! No one is forcing you

Please make sure it is not carbon monoxide poisoning. Check your A/C.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Carbon monoxide poisoning occurs after enough inhalation of carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon monoxide is a toxic gas, but, being colorless, odorless, tasteless, and initially non-irritating, it is very difficult for people to detect.

maybe you were having anightmare and making noises in your sleep? The dog barks, the cats then get freaked out and the rooster hearing the commotion starts up. probably a very simple explination. If it were more than that you would probably know about it by now.

And in everyone of these kinds of threads someone like you will come in and say what you said.

If you don't like it, don't participate.

Anyway, these people could be experiencing nothing at all, but the world is stranger and more magical then any of us can imagine, so i'd be foolish to outright dismiss things like this.

So you don't have pet's (Furry family members) then?
Never witnessed a dog interacting with empty space as though someone was talking to them?
A pet is as usefull as any bit of science equipment used to detect stuff that our 5 senses can't.
Simple natural logic really and not without pressident historically.
Trolls belong in W.O.W so go play some.

I have had this happen to me as well, although it was awhile ago. I was woken up around 2:00AM or so to my cat ready to attack and hissing and meowing very loudly, looking out my window at something. I looked out, but did not see anything, i just pet my cat, and went back to sleep. The next morning I told my grandparents, and they said my uncles dog was howling and barking at the window around the same time that night, and he lives about a 2 or 3 miles away.

Ok.....Just want to say to anyone who is ready to go on the attack....I'm not saying it's aliens or the effects of Nibiru or any of that *bleep*. But it's just strange behavior for them. Sometimes weather and earthquake faults activity can do this to animals. I just thought since I am sitting here awake at 3:44 AM I would see if anyone in the area (Louisiana) is seeing thier pets act out of the ordinary..........

The effects of Nibiru please explain how something which doesn't exist can effect your animals, we have some pets at home and every so often they have a mad half hour the cats chase each other etc, and we have people saying here things like my dog ,my cat etc has never done this or that are you with them 24/7 to see everything they ever do?

the quoted post pretty much agrees with you so why are you so cranky about it, infact why are you even bothering to post in or read this thread?

If your animals are acting out of sorts like this you should pay attention. Not freak out or anything, just be alert. My good friend's cat is the laziest, most quiet, chilled out cat you could ever meet. I was at her house on March 10th and was amazed at his behavior, he was pacing all the windows and scratching at the sliding doors, upstairs and down. Meowing and howling over and over, he was even running up to her, jumping and trying to climb her while meowing franticly. Her 9 yr old daughter was scared to death that her cat was acting so strangely and the only thing we could focus on the entire 3 hrs I was there was how he was acting and how it was as if something were going on outside that we couldn't hear. I specificly remember the date of this because about 14 hours after I left her house we got the tsunami warning after the Japan quake and tsunami. After the first news alert about it she called me to of course discuss the correlation and freak out herself since he was still in a frenzy. After his bad behavior due to being in the car (during the evactuation) when they got back home and settled after we thankfully didn't have a tsunami here, he was jittery then totally normal again and has never acted that way since.
We decided to let Oreo be our own personal tsunami warning system

I'm not insinuating that I think you are going to have a terrible earthquake or tsunami btw. lol
