Our Troops do NOT Protect Our Freedom and We Should Stop Thanking Them for Doing So

Let's forget completely that the responsibility of our Soldier's, Sailor's, Marine's and Airmen's actions lies squarely on the shoulders of the griping public. Soldiers don't choose the wars, our politicians do. Our politicians are supposed to be controlled by John Q Public. Every limp-wristed C-sucker in this thread who pays taxes to the U.S. American government is just as responsible as the men and women with the boots on the ground. Rest assured that if men and women didn't volunteer to die on your behalf, they would draft your narrow ass in 2 seconds flat. Then you could go get some trigger time or sit in a prison cell for 5-10 years. If the world was as black and white as you simple-minded idiots made it out to be, well, we wouldn't have nearly as many problems as we do now. It's not, and you people criticizing young men and women who put their TRUST IN YOU TO GUIDE THEIR ACTIONS AND DEPLOYMENTS have been let down and stabbed in the back by your wanton, lazy, self-righteous attitudes.

If every soldier did as you say, it would be mass murder in this country and when it ended we would be invaded. Lol people can be very very evil. The devil didnt need a pitch fork his toung was the most damaging.

I must say soldiers are being stereotyped...not ALL soldiers go to war and kill people...many join to help their families, pay off school..not all jobs in the military are directly associated with war and death..Some do their time, get out and have better experience can pay for school for their kids, and have a nice life. My father was in Vietnam. A surgeon Col, who saved many lives, friendly and foes. He might not have agreed with the war but he did what he had to in his eyes. Nothing wrong with that.

I have a feeling many of you don't know anyone in the military or don't know MUCH about it. I may be wrong but seems like the perception of soldiers and people who work or were in the military is very negative..

I completely agree. In my small corner of the world I can't say something like this out loud because everybody thinks the military is actually serving our country's best interest. It irks me to hear some tell me to support our troops when I know that many of our troops have become murderers who wouldn't bat an eye at killing civilians, including women and children. Many of them still have a backbone, but a lot have become useless and cruel and do not represent the American people, they represent the American criminal cabal who runs this country.

Then Leave...you sure enjoy the freedoms of a country you have such hate for. You earn a paycheck, you drive on roads, listen to music, enjoy the internet. Lots of places you would not be able to do any of those thiongs...grow up and leave.

If you have selective memory, let me give a quick refresher....

The PUBLIC did not authorize the use of military force, nor was given an option to vote on it under Bush.


I did see a lot of this same public vote for Obama, because he ran on a campaign of Stopping these 'wars' and bringing all the troops home....but they were all surely let down over the last few years, as Bush faded into Obama and nothing changed.

The Public is not responsible for this madness, the corrupt leaders who lie to us are.

The VERY LAST THING I will say in this thread is that I have seen good men DIE while trying to cover and protect CIVILIANS in both countries. Not that any of you care to think about those young men who died doing so, its much easier to smear their good name and insult a large group of people who you know nothing about.

If you think all we're doing is murdering civilians then you either need to have your head examined or someone needs to drop your ass in the middle of the conflicts. If you think the "insurgency" we are now facing in Afghanistan and Iraq are good people...jesus christ, you have been sheltered from the REALITY of what goes on over there. Take care everyone.
