As for these tunnels? Alien Greys...*fighting to remove the tin foil hat permanently attached like the face suckers from Aliens*

They are intriguing, especially the age, I would hazard a guess that I have no idea.

It's been suggested that the Knights Templar found the treasures at Solomon's Temple, and transported them to Roslin Chapel in Scotland. I wonder if they used these tunnels to hide such a task...

This was suggested in the book "The Hiram Key" by Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas...

When I first saw the picture, I instantly thought of smuggler tunnels. Then another thought came to me while reading some of the replies. Could of been some sort of cold war thing back then. Just throwing some ideas out there. Interesting find.

12000 year ago would place them in the ice age, so maybe a way to get around without having to go to the surface.

mining ? lead , iron ore , silver , gold , copper etc etc - will have to dig < pun > deeper - for info

Last Sunday on Spiegel TV(German), they showed similiar caves and tunnels in Bayern.

hiya, I wasnt accusing you of double posting, Ive had a quick look and cant see that picture of the girl in the cave on the thread I linked. Still think Ive seen that photo before though... Maybe it was on one of the other cave/tunnel threads

Whoever build this had at least access to somehow advanced technics. Of cause you don't need some cool lasers to build these tunnels but a simple woodpiece wan't be enough. So I guess we can assume that humankind (or some others?) had at least access to some advancd knowledge.

I'm not sure if open fire is really such a bad idea in these tunnels. If they had fresh air venting through these tunnels it may be possible. But I've also remember a science report talking about a mirror system used to bring light in underground rooms. Maybe this is a possibility here too if the were able to produce some reflective materials. Just reflect the sun into the tunnels and you'll have light to work there.

The Eastern coast of North America, is riven by some specally shaped bays.
It is theorised these bays were made by a meteor train at some point in time, whetner this may be the right train remains to be seen.
There is also somee record of caves and tunnels in south america which go many hundreds of miles and have definately been man made....
The hopi live in underground houses.
These are bottle shaped holes quite deep.
They expect to have to retreat to these homes again soon because of the great heat....
They say well all have to live underground or die on the surface.
For whatever its worth my collection of minutae...
Dating these tunnels at 12000 yrs doesnt put them in the same bracket of time as the supposed nuclear wars in india ???

Judging from the pics, I´d say you´re right.

If you look at the first pic, at the left top, you see the rounded shapes and the lines where the water level was for longer periods of times.

I´m not a geologist, but it sure looks like water erosion.

That would not work, the tunnels apparently are to small and if a human was digging then they would be in the way of the reflections. One thing to consider is the landscape would be different back then, so with lower water levels in most places these tunnels might of actually been above ground.

If humans can build shelters out of ice then it shouldnt be to suprising these tunnels were made. Still I'm interested how they determined humans created these, did they find man made objects or human remains or something?

from scotland to turkey (edinburgh to istanbul) is 1776 miles approx.
at no point does this article say outright the "link" is physical i think the supposed link is a similarity.
"link is to similarity as gullible is to conspiracy".
once again there are no tunnels from scotland to turkey,however it might explain the appearance of the kebab in our culture in scotland.would not be surprised if fissures existed in the earths crust that linked the two but highly dought anyone could carve that through rock,even over 100s or 1000s of years.projects would be abandoned due to changes in cultures etc.
however on a much smaller scale.everyone knows about underground rivers etc,this story emparted to me when i was 8 or 9 still creeps me out.
when i grew up in county down,n ireland a local lady that babysat me,best granny i never had,told me of a teenage girl who drowned in a local lake,her body was not found,there were a few witnesses and no fowl play.this was the turn of the last century 1900 or so.her body was found in another lake about 25 or 30 miles away days later,that always scared me on so many levels,imagine your family never finding your body,what else could be lurking there,and how far did these caverns go?

Not much bigger than a wormhole... well everything else back in the ancient world was supersized, why not worms? or moles? Or some other ancient animal that lived underground for millions of years and burrowed holes.

This begs a follow up question... If we were morons 12k years ago, and there was no global civilization, then how did they know an event was coming and that it would be extinction level?

They were told 16,000 years ago by previous civilizations GOING TO SCHOOL IN 3D perhaps that 4000 years later something would occure.

They built these tunnels to hide from extraterrestrial's ,since the aliens were having there own war at the time, people had to have a place to go to survive !

I'm going out on a limb here in saying that perhaps the tunnels not being connected here is the answer to the question. As the people migrated South towards warmer climates these tunnels could be their storage and sleeping quarters at different winter camping sites. Since some of the holes had areas that they could stand, maybe the smaller part of the tunnels are just the entrance to the larger sleeping and storage areas.

Stop moving, dig in for the winter and move on in the spring. Fall time comes again, repeat the process.

Just a thought.

The tools used should of been dropped when broken in the ground or left distinctive markings. Or hightech harmonics dug them another as stated in earlier post may have been from underground springs. The evidence of skeletons and left tools or foods or paintings should help determine how they were made. 1 would think they marked their paths going down UNLESS THEY DIDNT USE NORMAL LIGHT TO GUIDE THEM MAYBE SONAR LIKE BATS. It is an interesting find non the less that shows Earth has always been a busy SCHOOL of learning. More data will hopefully help understand. The locations of personal interest would be the openings or hub type areas where WHOEVER COULD OF GATHERED. Because these locations if they exist should have some type of evidence of who was there. Extreme case no evidence found to support they went all the way In or the TREMORS DID IT
