Recent member photography

Every time I browse a thread that has photography in it, it tends to be very old and half of the photos no longer exist. I'm intrigued to see what other members have to share as of late.

I'll start by posting some of my favorite pieces, all taken by me. Every photo posted is completely unedited.

This one is a monument outside of our National Art Gallery, it's of a giant mother spider. If you look closely, you can see the eggs in her abdomen. I will have to track down the name of the creator.

These next few photos are taken during various stages of sunset. My view from my apartment balcony gives me a nice opportunity to take lots of fantastic photos.

This last one is my favorite, not sure how I was able to take a picture this spectacular... It reminds me of a stairway, perhaps to another realm. Taken just last month (July 2011).

Great idea as I have been into photography for the past 5 years or so and have lots
to share. Looking forward to seeing other members work. My time is short right
now but I will return with more.

WOW! Those are some beautiful shots! The one of the graveyard kinda gave me a strange feeling when looking at it, was that the intent when taken?

Ha, weird you should pic that one out. That one when i took it gave me an eerie feeling, so much so that i had it printed on canvas, as framed, it now hangs in one of my rooms.

But yeah, beautiful place though, but there is a definate strange feeling in that area.

And maybe I am not posting these right, seems like some of them have been cut off at the right side... I can't figure out why mine don't have the scroll bar like other members' posts. Takes away from the intensity of the photos

Wow love the first one with the sun and silhouette.
Your dragon is wonderful. I love sunsets also but
don't get as many chances as I use to since I
practically live in the woods among a lot of
trees.

This is "DJ" at one year old.

This pic is very cut off - I tried
resizing to no avail.

DJ is a cutie, he looks like my two! I should get pics of them up.

As for resizing, it's not just me then I take it.

I resize my pics before I load them to ATS,
Usually it works just fine but the pic of
DJ would not decrease for some reason

Wanted to mention most pics from your
camera don't need to be resized to show
up complete in the thread where you post
it.

Everyone is, eventually...muahahahaha..

The idea for a new thread is a good one. Fresh pics....Fewer broken links. I have some things I will ad later.
I'm hoping members will keep the Photoshopping to a minimum. Just average darkroom techniques...Color adjustments, Contrasts, cropping etc.
Too much Photoshopping changes a photo, to a graphic.
Lets see the RAW talent folks!
