18% say Dems are virtuous?

whaaaaaat?

Both parties are FUBAR

Isn't MSM brainwashing GREAT!

Of course they never bother to find out WHO OWNS the media they are parroting.

No matter how many times they see the following they STILL believe the media propaganda.
U.S. Congressional Record February 9, 1917: J.P. Morgan interests bought 25 of America's leading newspapers, and inserted their own editors, in order to control the media. www.mindfully.org...

JP Morgan: Our next big media player? (April 13, 2010) JP Morgan controls 54 U.S. daily newspapers, and owns 31 television stations. www.newsandtech.com...

this survey seems to me that this site may be a majority of independents and the like. I am a liberal and hate this bill as much as I have strongly been opposed to the health care law. Obama is the worst negotiator i have seen out of recent presidents. Bush would have scared people by threatening martial law and the like. Obama said old people may not get their checks. This entire process has disgusted this liberal.

The fact is many don't care about the big picture, they only care for their own outcomes. This is a problem in a Democracy. Also, the politicians and representatives are so plentiful, it's no wonder it took till the deadline to solve this.

I have a feeling the USA will revisit this issue in 2012...ironic as it sounds...

We seem divided on what to do as a nation; but there is one agreement between us all. The people in charge are absolutely on the wrong side of the solutions, including the media. I found it interesting that many believe the Tea Party is corrupt, yet they are advocating no tax cuts and no debt ceiling increases. Yet, the polling show many of the members overwhelming agree with that position. Could it be that we are against those things, but there is a more practical solution, like cutting overseas spending instead of raising taxes or the debt ceiling?

I, for one, view these results as a rally cry for independents and progressives on ATS and everywhere to make their voices heard, because I know we're bigger than 10%. And that has to start with our noodle-backed, mamby-pamby leader, the POTUS. It takes more than good ideas to lead, one must ACT on those ideas - shout them not whisper them and certainly not compromise them.

Butbutbut... "compromise" was his rally cry! Fear not, though, it appeared that "compromise" in the Obama Dictionary of the English Language meant "as long as it's my way". At least that's what I took it to mean when he was whining about how he was prepared to veto anything that didn't meet his demands...

So do you reckon we can expect that promised veto?

Great survey.

Now, please send it on to every Congress member, and Senator.

As well as the White House.

I really hope your not serious. Or were you thinking of entertaining them? Giving them a laugh?

I am serious.

The power of numbers is serious.

This site is much more powerful than you think.

If only people were working on the same theme and in concert together.

Unfortunately, they are not, and will likely never cooperate or compromise.

Just like Washington D.C. and the status quo.

As to question one. I'm very disappointed that there are that many ATS members that aren't smarter than that. Default is the worst thing for the US and global economy. Default doesn't cut spending, it raises our interest rates which would make it even more difficult to pay off the debt. I can only concluded the members that wanted default are anti-US or are victims of dumb down.

It's not just on ATS, all polls are showing most people with the exception of the deeply entrenched partisans on either side, are disgusted with the whole shabang. Isn't stopping them from patting themselves on the backs for their "compromise", and talking down to us saying we got what we wanted, and "it's not pretty, but it works".

You're really painting all of ATS, and claiming that you're surrounded, over a 16% difference? The bigger picture shows most people are disgusted by all of it.

These were my thoughts as well and what I would have posted in response, but, seeing as you already voiced my opinion for me, I will just say thanks.

Of the 9,207 who voted, 7,183 were guests ? And only 2,024 were registered ATS members ?

If 7,183 can't be bothered to register & contribute to ATS, why should anyone care what they think ? Who were they ? Party hacktivists flown in for the vote ?

Sorry, but this survey means nada if you can't tell us who the 7,183 were.

Yah, Neo that's pretty bizarre results huh. That many people here buy into the MSM bull about the Tea Party(MSM sure did their job eh) and not only that, but they believe that OBama and the Republicans are the most corrupt. That means that lefties view Obama as another Republican.....that's the only way I can read this....I wonder if anyone else sees it differently.

I think those results pretty much sum up the attitude. We've got some real winners sitting in D.C. right now.

Yup.

Seems MANY smell corruption. Interesting
