Wow, English isn't my first, or the second, language, but even I know that people often use "them" or "they" in a singular tense.

I have about as much anticipation for this happening as the Rapture being upon us. And I mean, I really don't think it'll happen but hey, maybe it will, who knows, who cares, don't know about you but I have a life to attent in the meantime....

What entertains me is seeing all these peoples arguing in this thread!

Breaching that security clearance can not only get them a possible life-sentence, but their careers would effectively be ruined. They are authorized to mention is what they specialize in e.g: quantum computing, set theory, etc.

Your friend may work at the NSA, but much like Bob Lazar who claims to have worked at Area 51 and has legitimate checks given to Area 51 employees as proof, he most probably cleans the toilets and doesn't need a security clearance. Personally, I doubt a cryptographer would risk their entire life and career just so they can divulge information that will be known in a month's time. It is possible, just very very unlikely and rare, and even if he is a cryptographer with a security clearance, he may just be pulling your leg.

LOL! My friend does not clean toilets. LOL! I will have to let them know about that one!

They trust me having, known me since childhood. Very close. Very trusting.

As far as pulling my leg, no chance. We have more respect for each other than that.

I guess maybe you have no very close friends and have no clue about the kind of friendship relationship that I am talking about.

Okay please let us know...are you talking about one person or more than one. If it's just one then please say 'he/she' because you're just losing credibility each time you post.

Believe me I'm not trying to be mean, and I want this to be legitimate, but you're making it seem unlikely the way it is being presented.

Ok - if this had any truth to it, I think the most interesting question would be "Why now?" I think the answer to that question, if ever and whenever disclosure does come to pass, will be the most telling.

So, at least dozen people will give me a star and 13 people will give me a flag if I create a thread saying:

"Someone told me that [insert cool conspiracy theory here] is true, although he could not give me any additional specific information about it."

It makes me wonder that if "a friend at the NSA" told someone that a certain conspiracy theory was NOT true -- without providing any specifics -- if a thread like that would get so many stars and flags.

I mean, maybe the OP's story has some sort of truth behind it, but who the heck knows if it does or not?

Not again.

What is the purpose of a thread that vaguely announces events in the future that not even have a fixed date or a person's name attached to it???? This is not even a prediction. This is nothing.

Please stop posting threads here dudes where you say "Something's gonna happen. Can't tell you what, who, where and when yet. But I promise I know." FU** IT.

NO S+F.

"Eminent", "they"... this tells me that you must be 13 years old or even younger... ohhh, well

It's too bad that people hoaxing and saying they got information from their brother, or uncle, or neighbor has made us so skeptical that we automatically dismiss these kinds of posts. I don't know whether or not the OP is telling the truth, but I always keep information like this in the back of mind just in case. It strikes me as super convenient for those that want to keep secrets, that we automatically dismiss posts like this. If someone came on ATS and posted real inside information, we'd never believe them.

I know there have been a ton of hoaxes, and I'm not saying we should believe posts like this blindly, but we shouldn't dismiss them blindly either. People are too quick to yell, "hoax", as if it will make them seem weak minded to even consider a possibility. It's a perfect setup for those in power. The "conspiracy theorists" police themselves......

Yes. Find a way to bring religion into it too in some way and you'll watch those extra stars roll in.

why don't you say it next month instead of saying it here, sheer waste of people's time.

The grammar issue isn't a problem with me. I've known and still know people who refer to single people as "they" and "them" so I'm used to it, doesn't make anybody any less credible by doing that. Probably just trying to protect the friend by not saying "he" or "she" that could pinpoint someone for any NSA higher ups watching that could punish said friend.

I've done it myself having known and been friends with people who are very close to those in the professional wrestling industry and on forums used "they" when talking about a single person to not allow any leaks or something news worthy lead back to my one friend.

As for the OP in general, guess we'll have to wait and see what August brings.

I'm not saying this is true because I don't know myself and am on the fence but wouldn't it make sense to know something in advance and let others know on a forum that discusses it regularly?

Again, to tie into my above post mentioning pro wrestling, a lot of people in the business leak out info such as who may challenge for the World Heavyweight title in November and possible plans for the match and other storylines to get people talking about it and hype it up in advance while also getting a sense of satisfaction for themselves as being the ones who first brought it to light despite being only credited as "a source".

Example, CM Punk had speculation around whether or not he would sign a new contract with WWE or not and it had the entire wrestling world talking about it for ages as one of the top stories in the business.

Hope that helps you understand.

I asked them if I could mention it on here and they did not care because they said that so much of that kind of information that is false is flying around that this will just blend in with the rest of it.

So you have this one friend, yet later in your claim you say you asked "them". Thought you just had a friend? Now you're communicating with THEM (NSA) directly by the end of your tale. This is called an inconsistency, and would suggest you're made of bologna.

Also, you've just been informed that alien life exists by a friend who works for the NSA, and you "thought it was worth mentioning here", huh? LOL. Nah, why would anyone in this forum give a damn?! Nice try (not really).

Hey Scarecrow

It's spelled IMMINENT...('near, close at hand')

FYI

Imminent.

With that said, while it would be nice if this would happen, methinks this is going the same way as those YouTube clips of weather balloons, or the latest Blossom Goodchild prediction.

In other words, bollocks. I've heard 'wolf' cried too many times now to take any real notice anymore.

Blossom Goodchild, what's her latest prediction?

Nothing against the OP, but 14 flags for this post, WTF.

Seriously though, if the OP is correct, and his source genuine, no doubt we will all find out soon enough. And if the OP is wrong, well the prediction / claim, will just fade away with the many other threads of similar nature to this one.

OP, i wanna have faith in your claims, see if you can go back to your source and get some audio or whatever to back this stuff up. That would be great.
It would be a big help if the warnings etc are genuine.

I can vouch for boncho. He's a good dude, that guy, always fixing up people's transmissions and dropping knowledge bombs. He can't get into specifics though. Lol.
