Sure they have cash, but the US has assets, like the countries we invaded.

not a bad idea. He can announce, first thru vague leaks, that there's something new, innovative and exiciting coming our way. then he can hold a massive press conference announing iTax. It's something apple invented which will change the way we live. Are you ready for it? The United States of iAmerica will take a percentage of everything it's citizens make. Amazing right? And by the time his press conference is over, millions of minions will already have gone to the USiA's website and paid the iTax. About 6 months later Jobs will announce a iTax2 and the same folks who paid the first iTax will be the first to sign on for the new iTax.

By the time Jobs' term is complete, we'll be at iTax8 and we'll have a wicked surplus.

actually, those aren't assets of the US. The US hasn't taken ownership of any conquered nations for a long while. this was the only thing Donald Trump said that made any sense. In the past, to the victor went the spoils. In modern time, to the victor goes the bill for the damage, aid for getting the defeated nation back on its feet etc. the commodities of the conquered nation remain with the conquered nation.

everything runs thru apple. there will come a day when you are lying next to your wife and you will roll over and kiss her and she will whip out her ipad12, hit the appropriate app giving you permission to get iBusy and Apple will get a small fee for introducing you to their most amazing new feature - iSex

Thought the same thing.

Or maybe Jobs and Bill Gates together.

People who have a proven track record of being successful.

Of course it would take a revolution for something like that to happen, so it won't happen ...

He could release the next ipad or phone with each press conference, or maybe sponsor the press conference, ladies and gentlemen the president of the united states sponsored by APPLE (it's not the principle it's the MONEY)

Timestop 7:18 for the relevant graph.

According to this video the State of California brings in more money
than Apple and Microsoft combined. COMBINED.
And that's just one state.

The government doesn't have a revenue problem it has a spending problem.
And from the weakness of the positions bouncing around in this thread
I can now say "and the public has a propaganda problem."
