Some people are really bad thread hosts

You ever go to a thread you liked and decided to become involved with the thread and the OP never responds to you're questions? Or they like you're comments but never give you any credit or a star? Its just plain rude. You should never open a thread and ignore the respondents. You should always be a good thread host.

When I write a thread I try to respond to everyone that becomes active in my thread. And respond to there comments and ask questions to involve the person in you're thread. You ever go to a thread that someone writes and never comes back to check? Any one else ever get frustrated with the OP of there lack of involvement with their own threads?
Well I promise to respond to a majority of you're comments and discuss you're opinions on the matter. I may not respond right away because I'm off to work and have a busy weekend ahead of me but I will find the time to make you feel like you're comments are important because they are to me. So take care all and have a good weekend I look forward to responding to you're responses. And make you feel at home in my discussions.

I expect the OP to star every post I make in his/her thread.

I just wanted to say i totally understand where your coming from on this subject and i wanted to thank you for acknowledging this issue .

Myself and im sure alot of other people are familiar with this type of happening within certain threads here on ATS and can appreciate aswell as grasp the content of your Opening Post .

I try, but I'm not perfect. Why does everyone expect it to be some sort of contest? Other forums don't do flag and star.

Sometimes I think they just don't like opposing ideas or a different opinion than theirs maybe this is one of the reasons for lack of response.

This isn't about star and flag apathy its about a thread poster being a bad host to the respondents.

I had one guy email me and tell me I don't flag and star when I have a thread, but it says I have over 400 stars and over 100 flags. So, I'm trying to figure out, where he comes up with I have 0 for starring people.

Then he got offended when I said, what do you think this is? A contest. [

The issue at hand here hasnt got anything to do with stars, Enament was using that as an example .

What this thread is about is how certain members do/dont moderate the threads that they author .

Maybe they forget, maybe the thread is way too long, but, it's not the end of the world, and when they have time, they will get to it. If they don't, then life moves on. What am I going to do, beat it out of them?

Even if I don't like the comment I usually ask more questions to make sure I'm not taking the responder out of context or to enhance understanding in the topic.

I have always enjoyed you're responses because they sometimes conflict with my own and I like that. It forces me to try harder. Thank you.

Surely a good thread host would have waited until Monday before starting the thread. Now you've left all the guests staring at each other uncomfortably wondering who's going to be first to crack the bottle of scotch you've been saving for your daughter Petunias wedding, and if you think I'm going to starve after being invited over you've another thing coming I'll be the first one at the refrigerator come lunchtime.
