What about all the weapons the US Government and contractors makes then SELL abroad?? to answer your question the UN ban states that GOV, Law enforcement , mil is exempt, and its suppliers. it just bans the individual citizen from having the right to defend them selves. here is a link that tells how the UN will enforce the ban www.un.org... and this is the home page for the UN to take your guns fire arms and make you defenseless yes even you hunting rifle, if it has the word sporter not hunting in it.

Do a Google News for Mini 14 and a whole mess of articles come up about the shooting and him buying a Mini 14 and using a Mini 14.

I searched for AK5 and didnt get anything about the shooting.

Do you have any links to these early reports?

The funniest thing is that these articles mention all the high capacity magazines he had for the rifle. Here in the US finding a working high cap mag for a Mini 14 is crazy difficult. Factory mags run $50 or more and replacement mags all suck.

The only mentioning I've found so far of an AK5 is in this thread about the incident here but there is no citation just posters stating it was so.

eh, maybe that's where I saw it.

On the high cap mag issue, it's retarded. I can get 75 round barrel drums for an AK 47 or a 100 round RPD. If this dude really wanted high capacity he went the wrong way. 25-30 rounds seems average to me. Anyhoo, where was the norway government checking imported goods? Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Every idiot, who is crying, that all this only would be used to take away his weapons, and every sick person, who thinks, that this is all a flag job to make his life worse, because he has to give away his gun, should be observed very closely.
There is something wrong with you, guys, and you need help. Try to get it very soon. Most of you won't end up as a mass killer, but as an old idiot. So try to get social contacts and remember the good things in life. There are some.

The black market will always have suppliers all across the world. It doesnt matter what country youre in,the criminals will ALWAYS have guns, so it sbest to let your citizens arm themselves so they can defend their homes.

I PROMISE you, if they take away our right to own and possess firearms in the US, the ONLY thing theyre going to accomplish is disarming honest tax paying citizens. The criminal organizations, gangs, mafia etc. will not disarm, they will have firearms when the rest of us are defenseless, then what?

If Europe was half as "sophisticated" as it claimed to be, they would start arming their citizens. Ofcourse they wont because their governments are afraid the citizens will revolution up. Nations who disarm their citizens do so because they learned how easy it is to throw a revolution when the people are pissed off and tired of taking BS from the ruling class/caste, so they conscripted laws to disarm their people. The ONLY reason nations remove the rights to bear arms is exactly because a people pissed off with access to firearms is one hell of a force to be reckoned with. I can promise you this, a corrupt politician or government will never take you seriously until they are staring down the barrel of your guns.

Hehe! What ever you wanted to say, the Monties said it.

Still everybody who needs a weapon to be able to love his wife and children and feel secure in his neighbourhood is a dangerous idiot and everybody who thinks, the Norwegian tragedy is just a fake should be behind bars right now. No guns to maniacs!

And be honest: Here are more maniacs than anywhere else.

Thats pretty much why I wouldnt expect to see any cases like this in the US.

Im not attempting to insult Europe's view on firearms when I say this.. But it's pretty clear the reason he got so far was because he didn't have anyone to fight back against him.

I'm sorry -- And I really hate America politically -- but it's up to them the laws in their own country. Furthermore, I have to defend Americans on this issue, I think the right to self-protection is a bloody good law!

I mean, look, what are we going to do? If people forgot, the Norway killer also used fertiliser... Should we ban fertiliser?

Blablabla... If he was after you in the supermarket, you would have ramboed him between the shelves for soup, and if he was after your son at school, you would have Charly Changed him, and if he was after your daughter at the kindergarden you would have Osama bin Ladened him... Yes, you are really a cool people.

Europeans wonder, how things like that happen here, because they are only used to hear, such things happen in "cool" America, where everybody is his own John Wayne - and maybe his own Anders Breivik...

Nevermind. There is a big distance between the two of us. If we really want to understand each other, we would have to tame each other. Since your avatar frightens me, you should start.
