Coming From GLP

I was a long time lurker on Godlike Productions and got caught up in the current wave of ISP bans. Apparently they aren't letting any of the innocent members back in unless they start paying a monthly subscription fee. I'm seeing this as a blunt money grab so I'm finished with that site and moving on to here. Hopefully this site is a little more fair to it's users.....

Welcome. Came from GLP a loooooong time ago. They are a bit desperate for money over there.

I know, I used to have a free account but now it's like f it. Besides Trin's only out for a dollar bill.

I saw the thread on GLP yesterday regarding the bans,
& the admin comment "this isn't Facebook". Well that site will
die for sure.

Word. I vacillate between the two sites. I generally more friendly and honest here, where as at GLP I have a habit of 'sock puppeting' for fun and entertainment.

I think ole trinity is having another one of his melodrama moments. I'm sorry but I'll put money into ATS long before I'll put a plug nickel into Trinity's coffers. The guy does this crap all the time. He makes threats, says he doesn't need people, plays up the drama, then in a month he's letting everyone and their dog (or cat) post over there.
I think I'll be here at GLP for a good long while again, too much drama over there.

I was nothing but a lurker. Maybe made 5 posts in 4 yrs visiting, one was just the other day and it contained nothing even remotely that could be considered bannable. Now i'm getting some BS about my IP being banned?

I agree with previous poster. This is just another stunt by the owner of the site.

Another refuge here - although I only read about 10% of the threads over there (if that). I've had an account here, but I haven't posted yet. I've been thinking about making the move anyway. Much nicer atmosphere over here. And now that they have turned into no good money grubbin'...

I had my first look at that place last week. One of the first things I noticed was that as soon as I opened the page for it I was getting huge download activity. I experimented with this several times and found it was consistently downloading while a page remained open to that site.
I've since done some research into the site and have found a considerable amount of information that has explained why such downloads would occur... it had me doing a complete scan and spyware/malaware check on my PC immediately and I'll not be going near that place again.

Yep, I stopped going there quite some time ago because my virus software would always kick in on that site. Not sure what they are up to, but playing the banning your entire ISP game and forcing people to pay doesn't sound like good business sense to me. I am mainly a lurker here, but definitely enjoy reading posts here and people are not so rude.

I look for a flood of new folks

This site is way better.
