still do leave the door unlocked at night and do not allow all this fear mongering in the press to scare me, or fear what if's or maybe's and I am glad they will have it on there concience for the rest of there lives they deserve so much more than this it is how I feel about it soz if it offends but just the sight of them causes me offense that they got away with child neglect and god only knows what happened to the poor child

Yes it was proper neglect and had the family not had money would have been hung out to dry for such an act, just goes to show how money dictates how people are treated. I am willing to wager had this been apoor family then the msm would have crucified them for being rubbish parents. I really hope they find her alive, but after all this time it will be a miracle.

They will be devastated again.

As to the comments they drugged her and killed her, and then buried her to cover it up, is all speculations made up by the Portuguese police and the Portuguese press. Which was proven to be false.

So please do not make false speculation unless you have proof.

I'm not saying they did it, I have no idea.... but to say it was proven false is inaccurate.
Until they find Maddie's body (If she is dead) and do tests.... or until she's found alive somewhere, we'll never know.

Saying that they didn't do it is not proven and it's not disproven


The case is still ongoing.... it's still open.

Your opinion doesn't offend me. I just don't understand why you hate the McCann's for what they've done.
Their actions although totally stupid and wrong didn't cause someone to go out and snatch a child from her bed. If they knew there was a child snatcher in the area, I'm sure they'd have probably flown home.

The anger should be for the kidnapper but we don't know who that is yet.

Due to the recently breaking articles that quote the local police, I have to believe this is a fabricated story. I do not know how or why it started, and it probably shouldn't have. I have heard of this case, but have never looked into any of its details, yet something struck me in one of the articles linked in this thread.

The parents, or at least the mother, claimed that she suspected her other two children had been drugged as well. Then I heard someone mention that they thought the parents were the ones to drug the children, which makes sense to me considering it can sometimes be quite a task to make young children go to sleep at the same time, although not all the time.

It just sounds like something that could be plausible. Not that they meant to kill her or anything, but rather an accident. It sounds suspicious to me that the mother mentioned that, because why would someone who is just going to take the one child drug them all? It doesn't make any sense.

Some parents do 'drug' their young kids when they 'need' them to go to sleep by using kiddie medicines that make them sleepy. Maybe the McCann's did do just that, then the kids were kidnapped. That doesn't make them complicit in the kidnapping or anything else apart from Child Abuse.

Just more speculation they shouldn't be judged for.

I think Bauldrick is sort of frustrated by the McCanns, a well to do Middle Class family of Doctors whom were portrayed in the press as Unfortunate and unlucky that their Daughter was taken............ whilst other parents from less affluent backgrounds are portrayed in the media as Poor parents who are uncaring and deserve all they get.....

I personally think the McCanns made a BIG mistake and Assumed too much........... they are actually guilty of child neglect because of how they left their children, (if only a short distance away) so as to enjoy a meal with friends or whatever................ the pain though is Evident in Mrs McCanns face whenever you see her on tv or in the press.......

Terrible case and alot of hurt and pain and possibly no outcome or understanding of what happened will ever come out....

I always keep an eye out for anyone with that 'eye' condition (colobolomb) disorder............where ever I travel

All they need to do is get a mouth swab to get the DNA.

They can compare it to her parents (the real ones and possibly the other real ones, depnding) DNA and go from there.

I remeber some time back there was speculation of a cild smuggeling ring going on at the time..

not asking you to understand I am a farther of three and find what they did totaly inexcuseable I do not hate them but they deserve everything they get for what they did they are responsible and no one else if they never left there child then it would have never happened hate is not my game just speaking from the heart as a farther who would never in a million years leave my children unattended in a foreign country let alone at home there actions show how self centred and selfish they where

no you assume to much my anger is at the way these selfish self centred retards could leave a child unattended in a foreign country if THEY had never left her then nothing would have happened to her, they are at fault and the blame lie's at there feet squarely, and by the way my partner worked with children and know full what abuse does take place and knowing this it gives you another take on the things and I can tell you this for nothing do you actually know how hard it is to remove a child from an abusive envoiroment or a parent with drug abuse problems my anger is at this sick selfish society we all inhabbit where people care more about themselves than there own children if they couldn't be bothered to look after her then why have children

I have never been a parent and probably won't be either but I can see from your response that you are Passionate about your experiences and insight into this ....

I think my suggestion before is actually accurrate in the sense that some children at risk are in an environment NOT of their making yet to save them is so so hard YET an affluent middle class family (you know which i mean) can claim hardship and upset YET it is because of their own actions the events have unfolded.......

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that ''people care more about themselves" is actually the ROOT cause of alot of the ills of the world......!!!

It's only because of missing children such as Maddie McCann that we can sit back all smug and say "I'd never let mine out of my sight." At the minute my daughter's in the shower 2 rooms away from me. The front door between us is unlocked, as is the bathroom window. I suppose some monster could happen by and steal her away forever, but I feel we're safe enough, so I'll continue to sit where I am and not panic.

I'm sure they never dreamed in a million years that any of the children would come to any harm on their family holiday while the kids slept and the adults had a meal and a drink in the same complex a hundred feet away (or whatever) in - what they thought- was an enclosed area. Gerry said - it felt safe - like they were having tea in their garden while the kids were in the house.

Folk who think the McCann's don't punish themselves inside every day must be living in cloud cuckoo land, or they watch too much drama trash on TV. But those folk who want them punished even more are SICK themselves. Stop kicking into them.

Swing back to the 70s and before that, when every kid who could walk played outside, sometimes miles away from mum and dad, all day till they got hungry. That was before we knew about paedophiles and perverts and all that. If you were social services and had a time machine you'd have to go back and report millions upon millions for neglect.

As I said, if it wasn't for the McCanns and folk like them, you wouldn't know it was dangerous out there. You should be thanking them. Poor buggers.
