The claim of the poster is that they are intelligent and read copious amounts of material in a short time and learn at an accelerated rate. That's is a laughable claim.

I suggest you actually plug into this forum and read and understand.

That is supposed to support the notion that aliens are abducting humans? You can't be serious.

The internet allows everyone to post their claims. Now it is easier to pass on hoaxes than before. just as there is more real information available, there is much more junk out there such as the claims in this thread.

You cant lie the internet away.

Or the bible, for that matter, and the scriptures told us of the same history the sumerians share and the same history we all share.

Sure the internet is full of lies. Sure the internet is full of good material.

As for the bible, the bible is not history. One of the great surprises to biblical archaeologists was the lack of support for the bible when they went and looked at the evidence.

Here is a part of the experience.

One day - - out of nowhere - - a large black/gray ball appeared. It was about 8 feet in diameter. Not a solid mass - but incredibly dense. It floated about a foot off the ground - - just followed me where ever I went - - about a foot away. It was an "impression" - - which is hard to explain. I could see it as if it was real - - but of course it wasn't. It stayed for 3 days.

I call it the "death ball". I could feel pain - fear - and death. Other then that I had no idea what it meant.

I called my mom on the phone to ask her if something was wrong. She answered the phone ". . . just a minute Alice" - - - I said "WHAT?". Alice was her dead sister. When she answered my call - - Alice was standing next to her as if in full flesh. She of course vanished almost immediately.

It was actually 20 years later when I finally figured out what it was. I was watching the explosion on the Forrester. It was burning aircraft fuel.

The accident was a training helicopter - - but I never connected the burning aircraft fuel - - until they described it on the Forrester documentary.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

So - of course you can pick this apart - - and say it is unrelated. Which I'm sure you will.

Its just not as simplistic as falling in a dream.

The details of how I found out about the crash (3 weeks to the day after it happened) - - shall remain untold.

Maybe you'd like to hear about the Ghost Cocktail Party in my house. Of course that was just a memory imprint.

You can think whatever you want.

You are still wrong.

Please. Just because you have deluded yourself into thinking that you get messages is okay. You're not the only one. For years people have tried and tried tests and under controlled conditions ALL tests show no extra capabilities. Look up the goat sheep effect to learn about one of the excuses for all of the failures.

Any idea why my story was a miss? Doesn't it sound good. There is the dream. There is the incident involving a friend. It's all true, but it's not a hit.

Because that is not how it works.

The problem is that we remember the hits and not the misses. Many people pass on their hits. It can be casual conversation. These hits may not even be that good. People are quite good at making mistakes and even constructing memories of things that did not happen.

In my case there are many reasons why my event was a complete miss.

So you're an expert on how this happens? How is this "not how it works?"

Thanks for sharing that story Annee. It is definately hard to write off these experiences as mental illness or coincidences, although for myself I always (try) to consider every possibilty.

Agreed. However, my brother only died once. So there were no other misses. And as I said in my thread, I rarely remember my dreams, and I don't remember any strange dreams about my brother beforehand (or after), and this dream was quite powerful. Enough for me to have a serious WTF moment upon waking. And to hear he died at around the same time that I had the dream? This wasn't a tarot card reading here... I find it hard to dismiss it as chance, although I do allow the possibility.

If I'd only had one over the years - - I'd be skeptical too. But I've had many.

They are just different. They feel different. They are far more intense.

You can tell the difference between - - say a speculation - - and a real Impression. They are just different.

Am I talking about any Tom Dick Harry having an Impression?

NO! I'm talking about mine. Am I an Expert on my own? Yes.

You're starting to get ridiculous now.

Actually - - there have been controlled studies that show certain people have a higher rate of paranormal abilities.

You can never find those real clinical studies online - - - I guess they are just not as much fun as slamming people.

I don't want to get too far off topic.

Most people's view of psychics comes from TV or Psychic Network. Which is so far off reality its disturbing.

If someone does have an ability - - it will be ONE. There's a list of different abilities. You only get impressions - - then you have to interpret them.

I am strictly an Energy Empath. I have no control over it. If some event has a strong energy imprint and floats my way - - I might "pick it up".

You're mixing real scientific concepts with pseudoscience fairytale bs. This is very irresponsible on your part. The fact that you took that personality inventory shows your willingness to pigeonhole yourself into a certain paradigm as well as gullibility in accepting such a narrow range of possibilities. For example, have you ever once considered the possibility that what you just spewed out is complete nonsense? The fact that it is fairly exhaustive lends nothing to your argument, especially the fact that most of your sources are other ATS threads (seriously?!) or more hokum based on that inventory test nonsense.

Speaking of spewing out nonsense... we have a Champion! Care to differentiate the science from the fairy tales? You should be able to if you call the OP out on it. This should be good. Or are you simply finding a way to be as negative and acerbic as possible without saying anything or adding anything?
Carbon monoxide exhaustive with only 4 or 5 lines so to criticize the OP who took considerable time and trouble to enlighten those who want to be enlightened see what is on their mind is a little re-dick to me.
Just because you have no inkling what the OP is referring to and it is all way over your head is no reason to negatively attack and call it nonsense. Everything that doesn't make sense to you is not non-sense. It is just sense YOU have not figured out yet.

I suggest you get out more. It happens there is science behind that and it is called Super-learning. There ARE ways to dramatically increase the amount of knowledge absorbed and retained. Playing music with a certain number of beats in the background for example accelerates learning ability.

Reason: Anonymous had great intention initially, but like almost everything else in this world, anon is unable to separate itself from the pollution that is corruption, and ultimately mass-mis-interpretation.

Almost everyone is corruptible with the proper motivation. It is only a matter of how easily.
This is why we have term limits. Just change the people because once they get too comfortable they can be corrupted. It starts by just being comfortable...and then you decide to stay there. It isn't hard. It isn't a sin. Any of us are apt to do it ourselves. This is why we can't trust anyone. You have to really go by "feel." Look at them study them hard, how do they "feel" to you? Do you trust them?
This is what I do because I know I cannot go by looks or words.

It is hard to describe the rich reward we are supposed to wring out of life but I think it is something you feel and not something you can hold in your hand or put on a mantle piece.

When winning and being feared becomes more coveted than being a good human being and being loved you have gone off an intended natural path. Unfortunately, although it has happened famously in the past, lately (past 30-40 years) has it started "trending."

Too much of...

nastiness noun 1 the desire to cause pain for the satisfaction of doing harm Synonyms cattiness, despite, hatefulness, malevolence, maliciousness, malignance, malignancy, malignity, meanness, nastiness, spite, spitefulness, spleen, venom, viciousness Related Words abusiveness, cruelty; abhorrence, abomination, execration, hate, hatred, loathing; animosity, antagonism, antipathy, bitterness, enmity, grudge, hostility, ill will, jaundice, mean-spiritedness, rancor, resentment; despicableness, invidiousness; vengefulness, vindictiveness; aversion, disgust, distaste, horror, repugnance, repulsion, revulsion; bitchery, bitchiness, contempt, disdain; jealousy, pique, resentment, scorn; bile, rancor, virulence, vitriol

Sometimes it not a good thing to be enlightened to life I know I wish I could close it off sometimes, it's just not that easy. Nice post though.

If you are super-sensitive...you feel more.

This is easy to understand and believe.

It probably brings consequences that being a dense thick head doesn't.

(That the sun is good for you should not take convincing
)

But there must be a great many positives to being this sensitive too.
