I just want to mention that for the majority of issues you might point to like our drinking laws and curfews, these regulations/laws have been written in blood. That is usually the case, I suppose, but in these examples it's truer than most. People were hurt, killed or otherwise violated repeatedly and in dramatic and public ways before laws like the Curfews are generally tolerated by the local population. By then, it's welcome as a last ditch effort to do something.
I know the TSA and Patriot Act can easily give the world the impression that Americans pass laws and establish more control just for the sake of doing it. Sometimes, there is even truth to that. The Patriot Act comes to mind... Outside of Washington, New York and the other major cities though...America really is full of good folks who don't tolerate this kind of crap initiated at the local level without some very pressing reasons that make it necessary.
Please just try and keep that in mind while looking past the absurd control based garbage of the past several years. This isn't America, this is an American Government off the rails and running out of control.

i think this is the problem. Because you can't cross I road you think none else can and because of that make a law that tells me I have to do what you say. Jwalking should never be a problem people should be free to cross the road
