Maybe like this type of quality,,remember these taken 4 or 5 years ago,,so forgive the grainy images.

Do you understand those pictures of Hartley 2 were taken by a spacecraft inside the coma of the comet? Not from a telescope on earth or earth orbit several 100 million miles away.

NASA probe called Deep Impact has flown within 435 miles of Comet Hartley 2 when those images were taken, JEEZ!!!!

The reason there is a difference is because one picture was taken at an incredibly close distance from a probe designed for close fly bys of asteroids and the like and the pictures on Earth are taken from telscopes on the ground at incredibly huge distances. Obvious really. Elenin is a long way away compared to the distances that the Deep Impact probe takes it's photos from.

ok theres a start , but where is the probe now then ? decommissioned as the shuttles are ? there are telescopes in orbit , why arent these being used ? they could take pictures without the glare of the sun . dont tell me they are all pointed this way , and lets not get on to stock photos or not on google sky of planets like saturn . Or horses head nebula so very far away . we dont just swallow some bull . provide a clear cut picture of elenin , and dont stand up for liars ; you dont know whos listening .

Hey Zippy, a quick search can answer your questions. October 15, 2010: NASA's Deep Impact/EPOXI spacecraft is hurtling toward Comet Hartley 2 for a breathtaking 435-mile flyby on Nov.

They're great pictures, but I don't think that is what the OP is talking about. As far as I can tell he wants to see the close up pictures like the ones taken by Deep Impact/EPOXI, which is not going to happen because it can't be done by any craft at the moment as none are anywhere near it. If it's nice photos like the one in your link he's after then it's just a matter of patience really.
