Good luck and hope things turn out for the better.
I lived in my car for about three days when I was much younger.
Hint, when trying to find a place concealed to park at night,
avoid railroad tracks.
I got stuck on some tracks and just got my car off of them before a train came.

I'm sorry this has happened to you. Hope you can get back on your feet.

A lot of people are going through hard times; I think things are heading further south i've noticed

Idk but the economy doesn't seem to be recovering...

Not sure if something bigs gonna happen.

Hope you find a house to live in........

If it gets bad enough maybe you can find someone and/or a friend to live somewhere with mortgage and/or pay rent then you'd only half to pay half

Its a much more of a reality that people are doing this because they can't afford to live in houses anymore..

Many people are out of a job.

Noted, stay away from railroad tracks. Thank you, it's seeming like a temporary setback, especially if I get this job. Sorry to hear you lived in your car when you were younger.

Move around a lot, and don't stay in one place more than a couple of days and once every 3-5 days at the minimum, though once a week would be better.

I lived in my car for about 3 weeks, with all my things in the back, and also the trunk. Here is what I suggest....find some pillows and covers ASAP, those car seats are not too comfy.

Do not sleep with the car on!!!

Use Mcdonalds, Burger King or other fast food restaurants to brush your teeth and wash up in the mornings, they usually wont say anything to you if you walk right into their bathrooms.

FIND A JOB ASAP AND START LOOKING ON CRAIGSLIST FOR PEOPLE WITH APARTMENTS WHO WANT A ROOMATE!!!

Sorry to hear your down on luck dude

Ive never lived in a car so i can offer no advice....id probably suggest locking the doors at night and parking somewhere out of the way of the city.

Man....i wish i had a camper van, id be more than happy to live in that and become a nomad haha

It's all good. Everything happens for a reason you know. So this had to have happened for a reason; to learn something; or to get out of that apartment for a reason, who knows. That's the beauty of life. Even if something feels like it could be a downfall, it happened for a reason. A lot of people are going through rough times, and I don't see it getting better for a while (for them)

Many people are out of jobs, however I might be working very soon!

Thanks again

This sounds like a good idea. Although, my battery is dead so I've been in the same parking lot for a while. Well guess what? I was able to just walk in for the interview yesterday; with the place I interviewed being in the parking lot.

I lost my job after 24 years, but I am blessed to have a wife with a good paying job.
Things are tough out there ,and I don't see them getting any better for a couple of years.
Hang in there and I really hope you get that job and back on your feet.

And living in my car when I was 19 yrs old was the kick in the butt I needed then.It was a learning experience.

My heart goes out to you....I lived out on the streets once for a few months...it was not fun...but I did survive. Do you have places to go for free meals and to shower etc. I hope so. Please let us know when you get the job...I am looking forward to you being housed again.

ooh; Yeah I have a blanket and pillow; sorry to hear you were in your car for 3 weeks.

I've already taken up that advice for a while; starbucks bathrooms, etc. Just been without food; well, had some baked beans from a can after finding a pair of scissors in a first aid kid yesterday lol

Down on your luck eh champ ? Thats to bad . Happens to the best of us . All you can do now is make the best out of it and figure out a game plan to get back on your feet ...

"Living in a car isn't something that anyone would recommend. However, when you get laid off, your emergency fund runs out, your home is foreclosed (or you get an eviction notice) and there's nobody to help, living in your car might be the only choice, especially if you don't feel safe at a local shelter. Unfortunately, in many places, sleeping in your car is not only frowned upon, but also illegal. Here's how to get by until something better comes along. Remember, you are not alone and you have a vehicle. Lots of people have survived and even thrived while sleeping in cars"

apply for welfare.they should give you emergency food stamps..that would help quite a bit.also find one of those places where you can work for the day,,you will have to be there very early and wait,,but its something. and most importantly keep your wits about you,,,dont start to panic or you will do something stupid and hurt yourself (or someone else),,,good luck,God bless and Godspeed

That's nice of you to say. Sorry to hear you lived on the streets as well; it seems a LOT of people have gone through this. You survived, others replying here have survived, so I can make it as well. The free meals; no I haven't got a place for that. I shower in the restaurant bathrooms with paper towels..

Will definitely let everyone know when I get the job. Could be tomorrow or even Monday; they said give it a couple days.

24 years? Dang. Well good that everything is flowing for you now. Things are tough, but I'm sure I'll get the job and back on my feet in no time. Yeah that's understandable. This is definitely a learning experience.

Hi again...I forgot to ask what city do you live in? I live in Seattle...and here they have a lot of shelters. free meals. places to get cleaned up..free clothes etc. In a lot of cities they have these resources to help people out in hard times....
