It might have been a gas explosion....who knows?
But no, let's all just start raging against Muslims!edit on 22/7/11 by Kram09 because: (no reason given)
Sources are saying it was car bombs, so it's not looking like a gas explosion thus far.
I agree with your sentiment as to not jump to conclusions on it being Muslims responsible.
Trying to track that info down as I type.

The AP also reports that a Norwegian prosecutor filed terror charges this week against an Iraqi-born cleric for threatening Norwegian politicians with death if he is deported from the country. The indictment centered on statements that Mullah Krekar — the founder of the Kurdish Islamist group Ansar al-Islam — made to various media, including the American network NBC.
Number of fatalities not known but pictures show at least two dead bodies
The cause of the blast is not yet known but the tangled wreckage of a car was seen outside one building.
15.51 Reports from NRK suggest that the explosion was caused by a car bomb parked outside the Norwegian Ministry of Justice. Locals have dismissed earlier suggestions that it was a gas explosion. They have said there is no gas network in central Oslo.

The police are now saying that it was the oil- and energy department that was the target:
Ifølge Dagbladet sier politiet at angrepet var rettet mot Olje- og energidepartementet, OED. Dette underbygges av informasjon fra kommunikasjonsrådgiver i OED, Håkon Smith-Isaksen. - Lokalene til OED er ramponert. Det ser ut det gikk rett utenfor våre kontorer, sier Smith-Isaksen til Aftenposten.no.

False flagg? Could this be a frame for Gadaffi or Assad? Is it wrong to smell an "op" here?
Or some kindergartener drew a picture of Mohammed...
That blast was created by a large amount of low order explosives in a thin walled container like a 55 gal. drum or similar- probably with an acetylene booster. Home made stuff for sure.
As for blaming it instantly on Mossad- you guys do know Arabs occasionally blow things up right?
The explosion that rocked a Norwegian government building today was result of a massive vehicle bomb, according to U.S. government sources on the scene.
16.16 Marcus Oscarsson writes:
Norwegian police fears more bombs will go off. A first police press conference will be held 5.30 PM Norwegian time (4.30 UK Time) at the Police Main Office in Oslo. At this point the police has only confirmed that “several are dead and several injured”.
“You can not walk here there are two more bombs but we do not know where”, police told reporters at the scene.

Apparently at this time of year everyone is on holiday and abroad and that the public sector leave work early on fridays. This seems a bizarre time for a terrorist attack?
Hopefully this means less people have been harmed than what it could have been whatever caused it.
