8-3-11 Creepy Website! Can We Figure Out The Code?!?!

Hiya,

Just wanting to follow up on one of the questions posed t do with all this, can't remember if it was on forumspring or not.

It has been mentioned that two of their number have read Anthem, by Ayn Rand.

Th book itself is set in a dystopian society, and looks like quite a good read, but enought with the book review already.

This section of the following wiki page, aims to mark the similarities between Rand's book (the one that has been mentioned), and another Soviet author's work.

1.A novel taking the form of a secret diary or journal.

2.People having numbers instead of names.

3.Children are separated from their parents and brought up by the State

4.Individualism has been disposed of in favor of collective will.

5.A male who discovers individuality through his relationship with a female character.

6.A forest as a 'free' place outside the dystopian city

7.The main character is a man

8.This character discovers a link to the past, when men were free, in a tunnel under the Earth.

I personally thought number 2 was interesting, as this is consequentially what the author'(s) of the 8/3/11 have identified themselves as.

Anyway thought it was worth a mention, and perhaps someone else may find the link useful, for drawing parralells

I too am feeling the whole Elenin/comet/virus thing, although we have to be careful so many threads have been deleted or closed where this subject area has been discussed, under the notion of wondering too far off topic.

Would really hate to see this thread closed, everyone is working so hard, and putting real energy into this thing

I think there is definitely something to the theory that 3-8-11 has to do with the passages in 1 Samuel 3:8.
That being said, I don't think the intent is specifically religious- but philosophical/socio-political.

One of the first things I did when I heard about this was a google search for "belle m"
And one of the more prevalent results that came up had to do with "Belle M Wagner" and the book she scribed called "Within the Temple of Isis"
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find out much more about this woman other than her connection with the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor (a masonic/illuminati occult):

A few thoughts on this:

1) When they talk about a "retraction" like a roof or whatever, I think it's important to focus on Retraction, not roof - I get the impression this is more of an unveiling, or that they (believe they) will reveal something.

2) Being a bit nuts, I've listened to a lot of the Conet recordings and feel 90% sure that they are in use on the website, this may or may not be significant... seems more so if you consider the point above (could this be some kind of wikileaks sharing of information?).

3) My other train of thought goes that this could still be a viral - something I found curious by its ommission was they say it's not for a film, book or videogame - they don't say it's for a band/album ...and the whole thing really, really reminds me of Godspeed You Black Emperor and the approach of the 8311 seems similar to the Godspeed ideology (not for profit etc). I don't actually think it's Godspeed themselves, but perhaps a group of artists with similar values. Furthermore the visual style seems quite similar to artists of this ilk.

4) Gah, this thread is tough to wade through... but, the non-human member could just simply be a computer, this also ties in with point 3, there are lots of bands that have credited their drum machines etc. The 3 letter name that cropped up for this also reminded me of HAL from 2001.

5) I think there are more clues to be found with some techy-research into the images etc.

I´ve been trying to follow this thread too, but it´s hard to add anything from my own. You guys have done enormous work! On the other hand it has become quite an odd obsession (mine is following this thread). But so far I find Zippidee´s idea most fascinating. Maybe this 8-3-11 has nothing to do with this, but it is interesting. Yes, those coordinates lead to Antarctica.

Ok, I'm new to all of this, but am mystified by the whole thing. Here is my view on the picture:
1. The image in the top right is a 'birds eye' view of the image on the left.
2. The 'wires' coming out of this seem to depict a wheel of sorts, indicating the structure moves.
3. The 'side on' image on the left looks like the upper body of a human.
4. The mouth appears to by spraying something out.
5. This spray could be fuelled from the two rectangular structures which look like batteries at the front and back of the upper body and are connected by pipes.
6. The head also move back and forward.

So, If I put all of this together, you have the top half of a human, which can rotate 360 degrees, moving its head back and forth, spraying whatever it maybe out of it's mouth.

That's all I wanted to share! Feel free to shoot me down in flames, I'm a novice, but we all gotta start somewhere!!
