I'm not sure but most of the items we've posted would fall under the fair use act wouldn't it?
I've been online since 1997, I've never considered anything I uploaded MINE once I uploaded it.
Its out there.

I think the material posted on their site is free of Copyright infringement. If people submit photo's, they are obviously free of copyright/fair usage violations. The photo of Belle, and why she was "informed" was to garner permission to use/photoshop the photo. There were obvious stages of her being informed revealed through the questions/answers. They did state Copyfight was not a typo. The mp3's are copyright free.
I think they are painfully careful about not infringing on Ciopyrights of any type, but if it is an experiment, perhaps it is to simply show one thing.
We have *ALL* violated Copyright law by printing/posting/pasting/altering all of the images and texts from their website.
Think about that for a moment.
It is the whole basis behind Copyfight/Net Neutrality, and the unreasonableness of trying to use US Copyright Laws on the internet. It *is* global, yes?
I cannot help, because of the obvious usage of Copyfight on the website, this is an in your face clue. Been saying that since I found this thread, and still feel it is deeply involved.
Basically, it is a test to see how wide and far this image is spread, and if indeed there is a Copyright on it anymore.
Copyright Law is pretty simple. Once you type, create, or post a thing, it is Copyrighted. You cannot Copyright an *idea*, but you can copyright creations of literature, art, and images simply by being the first to make them.
Hence, everything we put online... *every* image, creative story, poem, artwork - is instantly copyrighted when you click post.
If your icon is not free clip art, etc, you are violating a copyright if you do not have the original owners permission to use it, unless you give credit to the person, and it falls under fair use laws.
Almost everything on youtube violated some copyright law.
I think this is key - hence, the images are "key".

I think personally, no mods have been involved because this has been an incredibly civil discussion
we've all worked very hard to keep it on topic ♥

I don't know why I can't find where they said all would be revealed ..... its going to make me nuts
but maybe we learned something from that question
if they didn't say all would be revealed, why didn't they pick up on that, they only picked up on the next step part.
Also, accusing them of saying something they didn't say... might be the way to get their attention
I know this may seem quite strange, but my female friends are beginning to grow fond of you, 175,000.. Why do you have to be more popular in Washington than I am? O . o
Be more mysterious. Bitches dig it.

They admitted they photoshopped the hairline and eye, and that the mouth is from one person. They also said the face is two halves.

If I were doing a research a paper on viral websites and internet meme, I would have hit a home run on this occurrence. there are no less then five distinct web groups debating what this web page could mean, and there are probably more. Me personally I've only been monitoring four sites. They've covered topics about Nazis, Aliens, Elenin, Cold war projects and have touched on other subjects also. They've thrown out a few bread crumbs, and now they watch the reactions of their subjects.
It's just a thought. I'm looking forward to the 3rd to see what happens.
The THX thing gave me a giggle

I want to make the "Prank" in the first diagram in Large City, The NorthWest, USA. Will that be ok?
It's not a prank. If you do send pictures. Mail us at [email protected].
