So i wasn't the only one who clicked on the Op link saw nothing about racism but instead that the boy was stealing. They didn't beat him at all. The kick was a nudge and he step on his hand for a second. Who are you to judge how other cultures deal with their kids. The amount of spoil brats in this country because there is no discipline. You can't wrap kids in a bubble moms, you'll just make it worse when they need to grow up.

OP: Where did you get the information that this was about race? certainly not the site you link...

i saw it the first time. very racist and misleading.

here is what my wife told me about it.

don't send me these videos again. Too heartbroken to watch. There isn't a lot of dialogue in the background. Only something like..."I think the kid has been stealing"...."where is his mother?" ............."Poor mother lost her child, and he's getting beat up"...

my wife is very compassionate and chinese.

Once again, the site with the video said this was about race.
I don't understand Chinese which is why in the title I put a ? mark.
Then when explaining before the link, I put "supposedly".
Then after that I put "I don't know if this is a fact since I don't speak Chinese"

How could I possibly make it more clear that I don't know the exact circumstances?
How does this make me look like a racist for simply presenting this video?
I'm far from it and not racist at all so that really pisses me off!
But if some people are going to be irrational and thats how they want to see it, theres nothing I can do about it.

And that excuses these men? He's a child! Nothing he did could have been reason to kick him. They re uncivilized scum. China is a big country with plenty of corruption to go around. It has a very LONG, LONG way to go on the road of progress. I want to know which province & city this was in. Maybe if I show it to my Chinese friends I will find out. What I would love to know is where the hell are the parents!? THEY should be held accountable. No child should be out by themself. By the way, this child might not be full white. Then he was probably a child beggar. They are sent out and if they don't bring back money they can be beaten or made to go without food. In some parts of China, parents chain their child to the ankle so they can play outside without fear of being kidnapped and forced to work.

Yeah kids get a beating behind closed doors in Australia as well,you can't a lot about what you cant see or hear,but try kicking,crushing a child's hand out on the street and see what happens,these people just stood and watched,yes child abuse unfortunately happens in every country on the planet,but in how many is child abuse a spectator sport,sorry but i don't give a toss about cultural difference's the boy is child for f%$# sake,you can try and paint this crap whatever colour you want but it's wrong and the people in the video(not the whole country the video) are weak scum,

I just checked the video link again and the person that posted it, has now removed anything about the child being assaulted for being white.

So he stole material goods, some people put money and possesions above the welfare of a child. So if he did steal you don't crush his hand. That child will never forget his experiences, i hope all those adults feel sick with themselves. I am just raging right now. These people have very few opportunities to get ahead because Han Chinese have systematically been moved in to take over employer positions and anything that relates to life descisions - in short, his life is pretty much Fked all ready.

There's no background on the story although given the massive amount of attention this is getting and should, there will be no delay in mobilizing armies of little "Fengqing" (government endorsed angry youth that are often paid to minimize internet damage) to make sure he's the wickedest kid that ever lived.

As you or I did as a kid, he's out on the block, maybe even lost BUT it is the sole claim of some acidic old bag that he stole something, if you understand Chinese, you'll pick up "he's Chinese" at 1:15 in the video.... long after he's received kicks that could have possibly broken his neck.

Now, the RACE ISSUE

Yes it is the reason this was so severe because no Han Chinese would dare throttle one of their own in case he had some "gunxi" (connections) and they hand him over to the Chen Guan (street-trade Police) that inhabit every Chinese shopping area. They fully understand that no minority parent is going to step in and who knows, perhaps they were nearby and unaware, for sure if they stepped in they'd be mauled.

If he stole something, he wasn't holding it and the Nazi behaviour of those adults is by no means rare in China, it just so happened that someone had a camera this time. Nothing warranted this beating.
Finally, for all those that say they've lived in China and seen nothing, that's because the vast majority of foreigners in China CHOOSE NOT TO because they are making too much money to let compassion come into it.

For all those that say there's no racism in China... where you talking about your tea cup collection or the country where almost every person that's asked about Africans will say " they are dirty"????????????????
